Very good in depth story. Covers EVERY bad/desperate feel there is! - Illness, lost love, mercy killing, courtroom drama, pain of infidelity and the pain of going on with life with all of the above. Considering all of this, it left me with a hollow feel at the end. Not sure why this needed to be Scottish in Massachusetts but it did add pages of details !!! I’m a rom-com girl who likes happy endings and this was not my style but I appreciate a good story.

I read this basic story in other books. This one took a turn that made a difference (Gabriel Ferrera) Left me with a good feeling .

Disappointing

This particular book in the series disappointed me. First book wasn’t bad. Last book in series should tie up issues from previous book. This book threw a serious problem smack in the ending and the way they dealt with it turned me off big time. This could possibly be the authors style of writing, I don’t know, but it so disappointed me. It ruined the series for me.
COMMENT ON NARRATORS: Why the British accent ?????? What was the added value? It made navigating their life difficult. He spoke as a “U.S.” teen/young man, and then he speaks with a thick British accent a few years later because his company was in London? It didn’t sound like the same character! Voices didn’t match (tone).

Excellent story line. Narrators did very well with accents and language (Australian and Italian). Story had it all…..crime, romance, drama. Just a good story.

Just keeps getting better!

This had a good story line! Book one was weak but Stoni gets better as she goes along - it gets better!!! This one was good…all leading up to Book 6! Don’t know if it was worth the extra money but a good “listen”!!

Listened Twice-still feel the same

There IS a story line! Not a strong one but somewhat interesting. Characters were developed enough, but the narrators just didn’t live up to the drama of the story. I usually like Joe Arden’s narrations but I think rom/com is more his thing. He does well with quick wit and fancy repartee. He was very monotoned throughout this story. I just couldn’t get excited about his explanation of “things”!!! Funny that your mind pictures a character after a description and then you hear a voice and say….he/she sounds old or he/she sounds too young to be that character! That’s how I felt about the narration of this series.
