Overall, I really enjoyed the three book saga. The first two books, ‘Alexius’ and ‘His Wife’, flowed well. However, the third book, ‘Unraveled’, got too angsty with Alexius and Leandra’s relationship issues. Sorry, Bella, but the first part of book 3 read to me as if ‘a dead horse was being beaten’. Once A and L finally broke thru their issues, the story really picked up and was QUITE delicious from that point. This is my first foray into the world of Bella J and I will be back for more. I do quite enjoy a bit of erotica mixed into an actual story and, in my opinion, you balanced it quite well - bringing in their sexual relationship at appropriate intervals.
The narrators were good, but not my favorites.

Very stimulating, just what I look for

Perfect story for me as I am not specifically into DDLG or ABDL. That came thru loud and clear for the first 1/3 of story, but then turned to more D/s than DDLG. But again, I very much enjoyed the story.
Steamy meter 4 out of 5. Somewhat predictable story, but that is what some of look for. We know what we like and like getting it. Tina Moore does not disappoint.
In that the narration was done by a female, Katrina Medina did a fine job. A deep voice such as Jay Crow would have done so much better.
All in all, an enjoyable listen. Thank you Tina Moore.

Where’s Rebecca (narrator)

THE STORY WAS EXCELLENT!
As someone who has listened to the series, I enjoyed catching up with Sierra and Boone as they reunited as adults. For those that pick this up as a stand-alone, have no fear. the author did include some extensive flashback scenes to keep the story fluid as a standalone. I love the characters’ witty banter. They are both mature beyond their years.
Although this was not the main theme of the story, Boone’s childhood was explored showing how he was neglected at every turn and how much he had to overcome. We were privileged to his miserable moments, as well as poignant moments showing him conquering his past.
There were some sizzling hot sexy moments, but I, personally, believe Ms. James missed an opportunity when not expanding on the phone sex moments.
I had one difficulty with the flow. From reading Ms. James’s previous books, this was very unlike her style. What was the part where Boone turned into a self-focused, inconsiderate slob? It came out of nowhere and was never really addressed. The story just moved on as tho it never happened. Since that’s my only storyline criticism, you can rest assured it is a minor distraction and doesn’t affect the overall story.
The two new narrators did an adequate job. They did not totally detract from the story, but if you’ve listened to a few audiobooks, you might arrive at the conclusion that they did not fit the characters and lacked some of the appropriate inflections for good narration.

All the steam you want along with great story

I have enjoyed all the books in the “rough rider” series thus far. I did particularly enjoy this one. It contained serious steamy chemistry for the middle chapters but couched it at beginning and end with great story development. Lorelei James generally keeps me well interested and entertained. Tho I would have loved duel male/female narration, Rebecca Estrella does an outstanding job at both main characters!

I’m so sorry to ‘dis’ narrator Elizabeth Davis, but her style made this book an intolerable listen. I enjoy books of this story line but this is the first time in more than 250 Audible purchases that I could not finish due to narration.

Great storyline, superb narration

I’m a first timer to Lexi Blake, but will search her out again. She did a superb job with balancing storyline with D/s scenes. The bdsm was good, but on the lighter side. The story was well rounded and intriguing. The narration by Ryan West was amazing. His voice has the right quality to portray dominant male, but he is able to use slight inflections to differentiate multiple characters which really increases the listeners enjoyment.

Always enjoy Sara Fields

Sara Feilds consistently delivers a good storyline mixed with physically steamy scenes. I particularly enjoyed female lead’s discovery of her selfish attitude towards life and burgeoning awareness of a better way. She has simultaneous awakenings with a betrayal of the worst sort, along with her own sexual discoveries. This one had a bit more punishment than I care for, but, of course, always followed on with a lovely steamy encounter. I don’t mind the male narrator, but he isn’t my favorite. He has a style of speaking that uses a halting quality that I could do without.

Love Emily Tilton

The story was good, but not one of Tilton’s best. However, I’m not sure it was truly the story or if it was the narrator that makes me think this. My apologies to the narrator who may be perfectly fine for another story, but The narrator ABSOLUTELY detracted from my enjoyment and my immersion into the story. I enjoy D/s story lines, and although this seemed to have all the elements to make a good story, I could not fully appreciate this one. My opinion is that a man’s voice was required for the male parts, or, at minimum, an attempt by the narrator to differentiate between male and female in her inflection.
