Historia
Daniel Graham MacCormick - Mac for short - seems to have a pretty good life. At age 35 he's living in Key West, owner of a 42-foot charter fishing boat, The Maine. Mac served five years in the army as an infantry officer, with two tours in Afghanistan. He returned with the Silver Star, two Purple Hearts, scars that don't tan, and a boat with a big bank loan. Truth be told, Mac's finances are more than a little shaky. One day Mac is sitting in the famous Green Parrot Bar in Key West, contemplating his life....

A longggg book
Revisado: 11-02-17
More of a romance novel than a suspense story. I have not finished this book yet. 3 hours to go. Not sure I can make it. A lot of time building up suspense but nothing ever happens.
There were some interesting facts about Havana and Cuba, but that’s not why I bought this book.

Historia
Before cell phones that fit in the palm of your hand and slim laptops that fit snugly into briefcases, computers were like strange, alien vending machines. They had cryptic switches, punch cards, and pages of encoded output. But in 1975, a young engineering wizard named Steve Wozniak had an idea: What if you combined computer circuitry with a regular typewriter keyboard and a video screen?

I'm not bragging
Revisado: 07-19-12
I watched Steve on Dancing with the Stars (don't tell my friends I watch this show) and thought he was a very likeable character. So when I saw his book on Aduible, I purchased it. I only made it about half way through the book. Even though there are a lot of interesting facts in it and even though Steve kept saying he wasn't bragging, I couldn't listen any more. As I said I enjoyed him on DWTS so I listened as long as I could. However, after he said "I" and "me" for the ten thousandth time I gave up.

Historia
Two mighty armies blunder toward each other, one led by confident, beloved Robert E. Lee and the other by dour George Meade. They’ll meet in a Pennsylvania crossroads town where no one planned to fight. In this sweeping, savagely realistic novel, the greatest battle ever fought on American soil explodes into life at Gettysburg. As generals squabble, staffs err. Tragedy unfolds for immigrants in blue and barefoot Rebels alike. The fate of the nation will be decided in a few square miles of fields. There are no marble statues here, only men of flesh and blood, imperfect and courageous.

History for Non History Buffs
Revisado: 07-19-12
We have all heard of the Civil War and Gettysburg, but I have never read any books on it. I enjoy watching and listening to Ralph Peters when he is on Fox News and most times agree with his philosphies. That is why I bought his book and I was not disappointed. Ralph is an excellent story teller. In no time at all I was caught up in the story and the characters (both fictional and non-fictional ones). He gave me insights into the war that would never have occured to me. I have never listened to the same book twice, but this is one that I will definitely turn on again.
