Juvenile and Uninteresting

I rarely quit listening to an audiobook, but I couldn’t take it anymore and quit this one. The story didn’t really grab me and it wasn’t my usual type of romance. I would have finished listening anyway, but the voice of the characters were too much to handle. The voices were whiny, juvenile, irritating and gave me a headache. Listening to a couple of the characters was like fingernails on a chalkboard. Awful. What’s with adult men and women speaking like sniveling whiny little children? I don’t recommend this audiobook unless you happen to be a teenager and don’t mind listening to a whiny and irritating narrator.

Why is this book so short? It’s like half the story is missing. It was okay but could have been so much better.

Virtual Voice Ruined the Story - Terrible

Terrible. The virtual voice is just awful and I can’t believe I was charged for this audiobook. I should get a refund. The voice skips in places and sticks in others - like a broken record. The voice sounds the same, regardless of the character and it’s hard to tell when it switches between characters. The voice is flat and every character sounds the same - boring and uninteresting. Sentences run together, making it hard to figure out which person is talking. I never want to hear another virtual voice again - or pay for an audiobook with a virtual voice, unless the technology is much improved. This was a waste of money and probably ruined a decent story. Since the voice was so bad, it was really impossible to tell if the story was any good. I can’t say enough negative things about this audiobook. If this is as good as it gets for virtual, please skip it and leave it as a printed book.

Not a Big Fan

I didn’t care for this story. The beginning was too slow and drawn out. The narrator was very flat in the beginning and it didn’t hold my interest, and I had to go back and listen again. The middle and end were better, but this wasn’t a favorite of mine from this author.

Lack of Depth

I didn’t think the story had much depth and I was disappointed. I had high expectations in the beginning, but sadly the best part of the story was the beginning. I didn’t care for the story from the middle through ending.

A Bit Raunchy

Too much raunchy sex. Disappointing for this author. I have read other books from the author that I really enjoyed, but I think this one was too over the top with the sex and the story lacked some depth.
