Historia
Anomaly examines the prospect of an alien intelligence discovering life on Earth. The technological gulf between humanity and the alien species is measured in terms of millions of years. The only way to communicate is using science, but not everyone is so patient. Humanity's first contact with an alien intelligence is far more radical than anyone has ever dared imagine. With a technological gap of millions of years, mankind is barely able to recognize the arrival of an alien space craft outside the gates of the United Nations in New York.

Movie-like, but feels deep. Good characters. Good plot. The reader truly feel the ignorance of the human race.

Historia
Nell Young’s whole life and greatest passion is cartography. Her father, Dr. Daniel Young, is a legend in the field, and Nell’s personal hero. But she hasn't seen or spoken to him ever since he cruelly fired her and destroyed her reputation after an argument over a cheap old gas station highway map. But when Dr. Young is found dead in his office at the New York Public Library, with the very same seemingly worthless map hidden in his desk, Nell can’t resist investigating. To her surprise, she soon discovers that the map is incredibly valuable, and also exceedingly rare.

Predictable
Revisado: 04-06-22
Heard it trough to the end to know the end, but no suprises there. I feel this was a missed opurtunity, and that there was way too mutch drama that really wasn't drama.
The posibillites of adventure and action lost on a really good concept. And I didn't feel that either, the narrated characters didn't follow the main narrators rendering in accent and speetch, or the other way around.

Historia
Ryland Grace is the sole survivor on a desperate, last-chance mission - and if he fails, humanity and the Earth itself will perish. Except that right now, he doesn't know that. He can't even remember his own name, let alone the nature of his assignment or how to complete it. All he knows is that he's been asleep for a very, very long time. And he's just been awakened to find himself millions of miles from home, with nothing but two corpses for company.

Its The Martian again, sort of
Revisado: 09-16-21
Excellent story.
Wert reminecent of The Martian. Not as good, but still great. It is way more sci-fi than The Martian.
Performance is excellent. The way they have solved the *narration* difficulties are good and pleasing to the ear.

Historia
From BSFA award-winning author Gareth L. Powell comes the first in a new epic sci-fi trilogy exploring the legacies of war. The sentient warship Trouble Dog was built for violence, yet following a brutal war, she is disgusted by her role in a genocide. Stripped of her weaponry and seeking to atone, she joins the House of Reclamation, an organization dedicated to rescuing ships in distress. When a civilian ship goes missing in a disputed system, Trouble Dog and her new crew of loners, captained by Sal Konstanz, are sent on a rescue mission.

Interesting.
Revisado: 05-21-21
Interesting take on future tek.
Just enough loose ends to make you wonder about the universe.
Characters are interesting, but a bit unlovable. The best, in my opinion, is the Trouble Dog.
Ends well. Looking forward to the next in the series.

Story is excellent.
Performance too. There is little voice-acting, but I don't think that mathers. Maybe because the story is so good. Nerdfest end to end. Highly recomended.

Historia
The members of the Polaris Project knew what they were giving up when they volunteered to fly to the star named Angel-21, but the allure of being the first explorers to leave the Solar System far outweighed the risks. As it turned out, the most dangerous thing they faced wasn't the mission, it was the homecoming. Eight hundred years have passed, and Earth is nothing like they thought it would be.

The B-movie
Revisado: 02-16-21
This book was included in my membership for free.
I can only call this scifi because it has spacetravel. Exchange spaceship with sailships, and it could just as easily be rewritten for the colonization of america. (save the timedialution effect). The wast oppurtunity of the scifi-plot is denied you. It is almost not explored at all. The story is pretty predictable once things start to happend, though its not bad, I wanted to know what would happend at the end. Witch I guess is the goal of any story. However, I found that it played out reather too close to my prediction. Kept hoping to be suprized, but no go there. A classic B-Movie.

The music at the end of each chapter is so long. About 30 sec. And there is accessive use of sound and speech in the background. Story is great.

Historia
The brand new BBC Radio 4 full-cast series based on And Another Thing… the sixth book in the famous Hitchhiker’s Guide 'trilogy'. Forty years on from the first ever radio series of The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, Arthur Dent and friends return in six brand new episodes, in which they are thrown back into the Whole General Mish Mash in a rattling adventure involving Viking Gods and Irish Confidence Tricksters, with our first glimpse of Eccentrica Gallumbits and a brief but memorable moment with The Ravenous Bugblatter Beast Of Traal.

Revisado: 06-27-19
I love THHGTTG, but this isn't really it. Seems like the scrips tries too hard to be funny. And there are new and strange things introduced with a 'trying to explain them like the original' explanation, and there is no way to further explore or explain these things, because it all seems to be a long and unnessecery ending. Sorry.

Historia
Six days ago, astronaut Mark Watney became one of the first people to walk on Mars. Now, he's sure he'll be the first person to die there. After a dust storm nearly kills him and forces his crew to evacuate while thinking him dead, Mark finds himself stranded and completely alone with no way to even signal Earth that he's alive - and even if he could get word out, his supplies would be gone long before a rescue could arrive. Chances are, though, he won't have time to starve to death. The damaged machinery, unforgiving environment, or plainold "human error" are much more likely to kill him first.

Revisado: 08-27-17
Great book. Great performance. Though I imagined Mark with a bit more geaky tone of voice. Brady does a hell of an performance, but I feel he is a bit too "butch" in the voice department. But you soon forget because of one of the greatest stoies of this half century.
