Historia
Set in the mountains of southern Appalachia, Demon Copperhead is the story of a boy born to a teenaged single mother in a single-wide trailer, with no assets beyond his dead father’s good looks and copper-colored hair, a caustic wit, and a fierce talent for survival. Relayed in his own unsparing voice, Demon braves the modern perils of foster care, child labor, derelict schools, athletic success, addiction, disastrous loves, and crushing losses.

Revisado: 12-15-23
This book is just so so beautiful!!! I can't even describe it. The characters are so well constructed. The main character is one of the best I've ever read. It was a pleasure to listen from beginning to end.

Sam and Sadie—two college friends, often in love, but never lovers—become creative partners in a dazzling and intricately imagined world of video game design, where success brings them fame, joy, tragedy, duplicity, and, ultimately, a kind of immortality. It is a love story, but not one you have heard before.

You don't have to be a gamer to read it
Revisado: 08-22-23
This is a good book. It never gets boring but somehow it feels so long. The story is good but two of the main characters were annoying AF! Like real jerks. The third one, might not be considered as a main character, but I definitely think they should, was the only one good and kind. It's an original story that I could see made into a movie.
I wish the performance would have been better. The reader had no emotions and made little effort to differentiate the voices.

Historia
Mariana Andros is a brilliant but troubled group therapist who becomes fixated on The Maidens when one member, a friend of Mariana’s niece Zoe, is found murdered in Cambridge. Mariana, who was once herself a student at the university, quickly suspects that behind the idyllic beauty of the spires and turrets, and beneath the ancient traditions, lies something sinister. And she becomes convinced that, despite his alibi, Edward Fosca is guilty of the murder. But why would the professor target one of his students?

No need, really, no need
Revisado: 03-03-23
I was so excited about this book after reading the silent patient but it was a sad disappointment. It felt like someone pushed the writer to publish a second book soon without giving him enough time. THe story is boring, the characters are all annoying, specially the main character. I couldn't wait to be over. Contrary to the rest of the opinions I did like the end, but it wasn't worth listening the rest of the 9 hours.

No por favor, no!
Revisado: 02-20-23

It's my first time reading about this period of British history and I had to remind myself these were people that lived and that this was their story. Amazing book, the performance of the reading is incredible. Highly recommended!

Historia
Alicia Berenson’s life is seemingly perfect. A famous painter married to an in-demand fashion photographer, she lives in a grand house with big windows overlooking a park in one of London’s most desirable areas. One evening, her husband, Gabriel, returns home late from a fashion shoot, and Alicia shoots him five times in the face and then never speaks another word. Alicia’s refusal to talk, or give any kind of explanation, turns a domestic tragedy into something far grander, a mystery that captures the public imagination and casts Alicia into notoriety.

Story about murder, family tragedy and betrayal
Revisado: 01-14-23
The book is really good. The writer amazing at describing feelings, emotions and landscapes. You kind of have to listen to it when you have some mental time available as it can get confusing with all the British wording. I had to at least. Highly recommended!
