May try next book. Kinda 50/50. Wasn’t bad but MC didn’t really stand out and system though partially unique also with a lot of cut n paste from similar books. 🤷‍♂️

Litrpg lite

Kinda felt like the author wrote the book then retroactively added some extremely lite litrpg elements. No real notion of stats per level or cool class options. And the stats seem to be extremely simplistic and have very little thought behind them. The action writing isn’t bad. Good narration. Probably not enough going for it to continue to follow the series.

Fun story

So much better than the last three books I’ve read. Though, I kinda wish the main character was the PI instead of the cat dude and the pacing seemed to lag st times because the main characters kinda have the same conversation several times in a row. On the fence about trying the next book but will keep an eye on the author for another series.

Feel like there has been a slew of bad books from Russian sounding authors recently. Not sure how to screen out because the average review rating is a joke. Amazon doesn’t do crap to seriously screen out pay per review by authors, which is a bummer. Any thoughts from anyone?

Harem Fantasy

I wish they would tag it somewhere with the actual genre. All the non-mc characters are women that the MC is banging graphically in like every 5th chapter. If you like harem fantasy then it’s for you. If you find the genre annoying then it’s not.

Bad writing, bad plot,bad world building. All the negative traits of self published work with really none of the positive. I feel kinda ripped off. Will definitely not read more from this author.

Hidden christian moralism

Ultimately tries to hide a bunch christian moralism about freewill and the existence of evil with a good omnipotent god. Felt like I was in a christian religious studies class. As shallow as its arguments and not welcome. The bad guys are literally serpents and goats aka the christian myths about the devil. Will not read anything else by this author.

A combination of Jakes Magical Market and Dungeon Crawler Carl. But not as good as either? I’m 50/50 on whether to try future books. Will probably depend on other options available.

Enjoyable

Best by author in awhile. Have tried the author a few times before but can never get into his books. Hopefully this series will be better than just another scratch in the mud.
