Historia
The Art of Is contains breath-of-fresh-air thinking about how to cultivate the kind of game-changing creativity everyone seeks. Stephen Nachmanovitch shows exactly how the passion and immediacy of improvisation can be cultivated and how, in fact, we all improvise all the time - whether we are driving or deep in conversation.

Philosophies to live by, great common sense ideas. He put words to what I feel and has a wonderful way of illuminating connections between art and life. Loved it!!!!

Historia
Born to survivalists in the mountains of Idaho, Tara Westover was seventeen the first time she set foot in a classroom. Her family was so isolated from mainstream society that there was no one to ensure the children received an education, and no one to intervene when one of Tara’s older brothers became violent. When another brother got himself into college, Tara decided to try a new kind of life. Her quest for knowledge transformed her, taking her over oceans and across continents, to Harvard and to Cambridge University.

I was riveted by the story and the way Tara Westover told of her extraordinary transformation. The violent parts were so difficult to read that I cannot imagine how she was able to live the life she lived. To eventually emerge as a whole person is testimony to her intelligence, her perseverance and her courage to finally make the right decision. I am In awe of her!
