Historia
Then: Linda has it all: a gorgeous home, a devoted husband, two loving daughters. But she throws it all away to chase an impossible dream. Now: Linda is alone and penniless, living in a shabby rented flat. With nothing to lose, she signs up to a dating app for the over 50s. But the one man who responds to her profile, a man calling himself Tony Fortin, is not who he says he is. Linda recognises him immediately. He’s Marcus, her second husband. But that’s impossible. Marcus died eight months ago. He drowned off the coast of Corfu.

What a stupid woman!
Revisado: 03-26-25
This story was a complete waste of time. The main character saw narcissistic traits in others, but she is no better!
Her choices ruined lives as far as she went and then plays the victim feeling sorry for herself.
I am sorry, but she is the bad apple in the bunch...
This book is a definite NO from my point of view.

Historia
I just met my new son-in-law . . . And he’s my ex-husband. They’re here. I watch them arrive from the kitchen window. My pregnant daughter and her new husband. They’ve barely known each other six months. I greet him with a tight smile that he recognizes as fake. Luke is no good for my beautiful, fragile Cerys. He’ll break her heart. I know that because he broke mine — when he was married to me. I don’t know what he’s after. But I’m going to make it my business to find out.

Okay, but just!

Loved the story for the most part, except for the end. Justice not served…looking at you Cerys!
I disliked her from the start, and my annoyance grew as the story progressed. It’s been a while since I had to listen to such a stupid character.
The narrators on the other hand were AMAZING!

Historia
When Nigel Baxter, a middle-aged married banker with an unremarkable past, is found dead in the bath of a plush hotel suite, his wrists slit, it looks as if he's taken his own life. At first. But when Detective Inspector Daniel Riley is assigned to the case, he soon realises all isn't as it first appears to be. When a postmortem shows Baxter was poisoned, Riley suspects foul play. And then there's the odd addition of a teddy bear left at the crime scene....

Predictable with lots of swearing
Revisado: 12-15-22
I tried getting into the book, but unfortunately found it rather disappointing.
The plot is predictable and the finish is just confirmation of what you surmise would happen.
The bad language detracts, but I found the narrator's performance helped the book punch well above its weight.

Historia
Tribulation is a twisted mystery about an end-of-days religious cult manipulating space and traveling across planes of existence on electricity and radio signals. Cult members willingly accept seven brutal years of torture, known as their “tribulation,” to atone for their earthly sins and come out on the other side saved (or thoroughly brainwashed?). The hero of this thriller, Stacy Carlson, must uncover the mystery of the Tribulation cult after her husband Greg is kidnapped by its leader, Brother Elijah (Josh Charles), through a bizarre AM radio broadcast.

Language bothersome
Revisado: 04-05-22
This is very entertaining sci-fi, and I found the story captivating and well performed.
My only gripe is that the bad language is bothersome and at times, rather offensive. It can be unnecessary and cringeworthy and I felt that it distracted from an otherwise great listening experience.
If you can listen past this, the story is well worth the time.
