Dante's Divine Comedy is considered to be not only the most important epic poem in Italian literature, but also one of the greatest poems ever written. It consists of 100 cantos, and (after an introductory canto) they are divided into three sections. Each section is 33 cantos in length, and they describe how Dante and a guide travel through Inferno, Purgatorio, and Paradiso.

To everyone who is saying that they couldn’t finish it due to the boring narrator or because they couldn’t follow the story needs to READ the actual book with it! I mean come on this is the Divine Comedy written in the 14th century do you really expect you follow along to just the audio, I haven’t even finished this book yet but following the audio and the book has helped me understand it tremendously. And not to mention there are literally synopses for every chapter so stop complaining. This isn’t some listen on a road trip kind of book, I don’t know who thought it was.
