Historia
Private eye Eddie Valiant doesn't like Toons - those cartoon characters who live side-by-side with humans. But Eddie will work for a Toon if his cash supply is low enough. So he reluctantly agrees when Roger Rabbit, a Toon who plays straight man (or should that be straight rabbit) in the Baby Herman cartoon series, asks him to find out who's been trying - unsuccessfully - to buy his contract from the DeGreasy Brothers syndicate. Then Rocco DeGreasy is murdered - and Roger is the prime suspect!

An interesting listen
Revisado: 04-26-24
As a fan of Who Framed Roger Rabbit i was excited when I found out is was based on a book. The book is radically different. It is such a great read that I am excited to check out the rest of the trilogy.

Historia
The twin sons of Harry Keogh, the Necroscope, have taken very different paths. Nathan as his father's powers - to talk to the dead, to travel instantly through space. Like Harry, this new Necroscope fights evil wherever he finds it. His twin, Nestor, has become the most horrifying evil imaginable: a shape-shifting, blood sucking Wamphyi Lord! Devoid of human feeling, Nestor and his companion, the beautiful, malevolent Wratha the Risen, hunt without mercy.

Historia
On September 11, 2001, a man drifts in a boat off lower Manhattan as the twin towers burn. He removes a small box from his pocket and presses a button. As he waits for the south tower to collapse, he thinks: The vast majority will blame the collapse on the crazy Arabs who hijacked the planes and the Islamic extremists who funded them - the obvious choice. A few will notice inconsistencies and point fingers elsewhere, blaming the government or Big Oil or some other powerful but faceless entity. No one - absolutely no one - will guess the truth behind the who and why of this day.

Christopher Price returns.
Revisado: 10-14-23
I can go on about the story, but if your this far in you're a fan and you already know. The return of Christopher Price was a treat. I remember being put off by his style in the first book he narrated, I even think the Voice actor from Bloodlines is better when it comes to all the other characters (more range). However Christopher Price IS Jack in my opinion.

Historia
It starts off simply enough. (Doesn't it always?) Jack has been on hiatus since the tragic events in Harbingers. With his beloved Gia's encouragement he dips his toe back into the fix-it pool.Christy Pickering's 18-year-old daughter is dating Jerry Bethlehem, a man twice her age. Christy sensed something shady and sinister about him, so she hired a private investigator to look into his past. But the PI isn't returning her calls. Will Jack find out why?

The critique of the Reader is unfair.
Revisado: 09-13-23
The narrator does an excellent job of reading this book. That being said we are used to main Narrator and I feel some of the negative reviews are due to missing the last voice actor. The current one does a great job. He actually humanized Jack more than the prior.

Hosts starts with a bang when Jack has to stop a psychotic's shooting rampage on a subway car - but there are witnesses, and Jack’s essential anonymity is threatened.

Historia
The Persian King Artaxerxes rules an empire stretching from the Aegean to Northern India. As many as 50 million people are his subjects. His rule is absolute. Yet battles can be won - or lost - with a single blow. Princes fall. And when the dust of civil war settles, the Spartans are left stranded in the heart of an enemy's empire, without support, without food, and without water. Far from home, surrounded by foes, it falls to the young soldier Xenophon to lead the survivors against Artaxerxes' legendary Persian warriors.

This should have been two books. Cyrus was killed by another soldier and Conn misses out on a one the great women getting revenge for the death of her favorite son. She deserved her story told. Excellent otherwise.
