Historia
Simon Basset, the irresistible Duke of Hastings, has hatched a plan to keep himself free from the town's marriage-minded society mothers. He pretends to be engaged to the lovely Daphne Bridgerton. After all, it isn't as if the brooding rogue has any real plans to marry - though there is something about the alluring Miss Bridgerton that sets Simon's heart beating a bit faster. And as for Daphne, surely the clever debutante will attract some very worthy suitors now that it seems a duke has declared her desirable.

Mostly Good
Revisado: 04-14-24
This book made me laugh plenty of times and in others made me nauseous due to the misogynistic comments of the male characters but I know it's just because of the time in which the novel is placed.

Read it because of the Movie
Revisado: 03-22-24
So I decided to read the book because I loved the movie so much. I must say the book is different but not in a bad way. I truly loved it and it only took me three days because I couldn't stop listening. I recommend reading the book whether you have seen the movie or not!

The performance was absolutely amazing. The story had lots of unnecessary fillers. Glad I finally finished it.

Wildflower is a portrait of Drew's life in stories as she looks back on the adventures, challenges, and incredible experiences of her earlier years. It includes tales of living on her own at 14 (and how laundry may have saved her life), getting stuck in a gas station overhang on a cross-country road trip, saying good-bye to her father in a way only he could have understood, and many more adventures and lessons that have led her to the successful, happy, and healthy place she is today.

Least Favorite Hunger Games Book
Revisado: 08-19-22
Out of all the books to the series, this one took me forever to get through. I found it very tedious with a lot of pointless parts. I didn't enjoy the narrator, he doesn't compare to the Narrator of the other three, that were written through Katniss Everdeen's POV. The song parts were so robotic that they lost the essence. I'm glad finished I just for the sole purpose of better understanding the mindset of Snow.

Golden Globe nominee Scarlett Johansson ( Lost in Translation, Girl with a Pearl Earring) brings a palpable sense of joy and exuberance to her performance of Lewis Carroll's enduring classic Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. The young and imaginative Alice grows weary of her storybook, one "without pictures or conversations", and follows a hasty hare underground - to come face to face with a host of strange and fantastic characters.
