holy hell, I wanted to like this book. but there is so much repetition and the narrator Tim Scholze reads Dolly as an imbecile child.

i really wanted to like this book. the narrator is monotone and makes the characters talk like they have a chip on their shoulder and talk hard and have a condescending tone. all the male characters sound the same especially van and the bird. the femailes have southern accents but have lived in space since birth...

book 5 went south for me but I started book 6 just to see if the author rebalanced the direction. nope. just a bunch of filler of a 16-year-old who would be a freshman in high school training himself how to get God powers... [eye roll] The 3 female characters are abusive tyrants. why is it okay for them to physically hit, punch, slap, bite ruhen and siff when the two boys do or say something they don't like? domestic abuse works both ways!! let's reverse that where the boys hit, slap, punch, and bit the girls when they do or say something stupid. Oh wait, they never do they have all the wisdom and maturity. [eye roll] lets's see how PC that is. The whole scene of him floating around in space and fighting a giant fern guarding a wormhole is just beyond Sci-Fi. siff was ok in books 1 and 2 and I liked him. but he got stale and annoying. always with the groans, or stupid snide comments. he has not grown not one bit. I fast-forwarded through most of the book (shed scenes got old. overlord scenes got annoying, fortifying scenes. yawn, dungeon scenes in shelly another yawn_ and again the narrator needs to stop saying shift said, ruhen said, rommie said, hamma said, lillian said over and over and over.. good grief, we know who is talking from the different voices!!! I just said im done. and started up book 16 of exforce and see what Skippy has been up to.

not the best in the series

*** Spoilers*** Everything seems rushed. you have a 16-year-old and a 17-year-old becoming master-level in everything they do. the God ORU (not sure how to spell it) had planned this for centuries and is pushing these two high school students into roles they are not prepared for. sure they may have the levels but not the experience or wisdom that life gives leaders. And the whole tournament thing was just dumb. you have a 16-year-old who has just achieved diamond level hours before defeated two gods' armies a few days before and is the "leader" of the new city. traipsing off to a hostile city to fight in a silly tournament while keeping his identity and abilities a total secret all the while they fight established teams that have been together for decades.... wtf??? i relly hope the next book is not this dumb.

ok so, can somebody please tell me why phantom team did NOT use the overlords big ass guns when they killed a few and use on the overlirds???? and Wic, busted ribs, beat to hell and keeps going for a solid week... common, marine or not broken bones hurt and breathing with multiple broken ribs hurts and is difficult. making wic a superman is just too much over the top.
