Historia
Killing the sadistic warlord known as the Dog Tongue took everything Gus Berry had, including the woman he loved. Now, all he wants is to get away from the bloody scene of their final showdown. But when he heads west in a stolen truck, a brutal snowstorm forces him to turn back—and seek refuge in the Dog Tongue’s former headquarters. Though it’s littered with human carnage, the abandoned luxury hotel has a lot to offer a guy like Gus. But in addition to soft beds and working toilets, he encounters still-lurking dangers both living and undead.

Historia
When struggling riverboat captain Abner Marsh receives an offer of partnership from a wealthy aristocrat, he suspects something’s amiss. But when he meets the hauntingly pale, steely-eyed Joshua York, he is certain. For York doesn’t care that the icy winter of 1857 has wiped out all but one of Marsh’s dilapidated fleet. Nor does he care that he won’t earn back his investment in a decade. York has his own reasons for wanting to traverse the powerful Mississippi. And they are to be none of Marsh’s concern - no matter how bizarre, arbitrary, or capricious his actions may prove.

disappointed
Revisado: 06-17-24
I believe George is one the greatest writers in history, he always has a way painting the story in real life. However, he falls short when it comes to ppl of color. When describing white ppl, they r almost angelic, but ppl of color are all one shade one look, or just "niggers". I can't tell if he hates or loves them. I tried to finish it, but started to offend me. When he describes Cersei, I was able to visualize how stunning she was, he's lazy when when it comes to ⚫️ and insensitive. And that's just the way he writes it. The story. It's boring sorry I'm giving this book AC it would be AD. If you didn't write game of thrones.

Historia
Throughout these books, Follett has followed the fortunes of five intertwined families - American, German, Russian, English, and Welsh - as they make their way through the twentieth century. Now they come to one of the most tumultuous eras of all: the enormous social, political, and economic turmoil of the 1960s through the 1980s, from civil rights, assassinations, mass political movements and Vietnam to the Berlin Wall, the Cuban Missile Crisis, presidential impeachment, revolution - and rock and roll.

As usually remarkably written
Revisado: 04-16-20
I love every and anything Ken writes. He has a way of invoking a distinct, raw emotion, that we rarely share out loud. Delightfully this particular chapter of the prequel integrates more black characters, which is probably the reason I hold more affection for this one in a different form. His description of his character's looks, mannerisms, expressions etc, is one of my top sensations, the words always gather into into a mirror and suddenly im a part of the journey literally. Although Fall of Giants is still the best, Edge of Eternity brings a necessary closure. I've read them all 3 x

More black female characters please
Revisado: 02-25-20
I think the writing is equivalent to the feeling of falling endlessly in a dream, heart pounding cause death is near, and just before u make impact, poof u wake up! I just wish besides a black senior female president, who I love, there was a sexy kickass Michone or Sasha, heck even latina type, from Walking Dead. When can they join team Ghost? When black men are described the writer only has one detail ..."dark skin" or "very dark skin". Representation probably means nothing to u bc ur White and I understand that, but to a scifi middle age black woman, who cosplays, and frequents Comic Con, it everything. Did you know, it was 28 days later, Walking Dead show, and Black Panther movie that made me even consider Comic Con? It was that material that help me convince my black friends and family Comic Con/ Scifi is for us too. We are a part of the future and its fly. Altho ur books are incredible, heart breaking, uplifting and emotional, we are not there, and if this is the end the world Michone would be there. So jussssssst in case anyone might be reading this, pls add just one kick ass female character of Color, it would mean so much to us.

Nail biting, leaves u on the edge of your seat, only wish they'd write a black female soldier character. Walking dead Michonne, should have inspired that.
