Historia
Mindy Kaling has lived many lives: the obedient child of immigrant professionals, a timid chubster afraid of her own bike, a Ben Affleck–impersonating Off-Broadway performer and playwright, and, finally, a comedy writer and actress prone to starting fights with her friends and coworkers with the sentence “Can I just say one last thing about this, and then I swear I’ll shut up about it?”

A lot of fun!

What made the experience of listening to Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me? (And Other Concerns) the most enjoyable?
Most people who will consider reading this book know Mindy's character, Kelly on The Office. While you can see where Kelly comes from, you will be delighted to learn what a bright, endearing, and honest actor & writer Mindy Kaling is. She is a true talent. This is laugh out loud funny, for men and women. I highly recommend it. Short and fun!

Historia
It is often said, even by critical scholars who should know better, that “writing in the name of another” was widely accepted in antiquity. But New York Times bestselling author Bart D. Ehrman dares to call it what it was: literary forgery, a practice that was as scandalous then as itis today. In Forged, Ehrman’s fresh and original research takes readers back to the ancient world, where forgeries were used as weapons by unknown authors to fend off attacks to their faith and establish their church.

A very thorough presentation of the thesis
Revisado: 05-15-11
I felt the author did a very good job presenting his facts, data, and conclusions to support his premise that many of the books of the Bible are written by people who in one way or another are not who you think they are. I am not a Bible scholar, but found his review to be rigorous and convincing. The book could have been a little tighter and it took a while to get into the meat of the material, but all in all, this book delivered what it promised in the title.

Historia
There was a time when “universe” meant all there is. Everything. Yet, in recent years discoveries in physics and cosmology have led a number of scientists to conclude that our universe may be one among many. With crystal-clear prose and inspired use of analogy, Brian Greene shows how a range of different “multiverse” proposals emerges from theories developed to explain the most refined observations of both subatomic particles and the dark depths of space.

Another fascinating book by Greene
Revisado: 05-15-11
If you've read Brian Greene, you'll know that he is not for the feint of heart. He is a very good writer and is able to make complicated theories accessible to the lay person. However, the underlying physics and math are so complicated and frankly amazing, that the subject matter almost defies understanding. If you like his earlier books, The Elegant Universe and the Fabric of the Cosmos, you will probably like this book. He takes the fundamental elements of string theory to the next logical conclusion: that there are multiple speculative theories about existence of parallel or multiple universes. It is such a spectacular line of reasoning that the whole presentation is compelling and engaging. He also does a good job articulating the positions of the primary detractors of the theories presented in the book. A really good listen for those interested in cutting edge theoretical physics.

Historia
In this stirring audiobook, David McCullough tells the intensely human story of those who marched with General George Washington in the year of the Declaration of Independence, when the whole American cause was riding on their success, without which all hope for independence would have been dashed and the noble ideals of the Declaration would have amounted to little more than words on paper.

A great story about a critical year in US history
Revisado: 09-18-10
This is an incredible work. Well-told by the author, the books gets at the heart of the struggle that Washington and his closest advisors faced before, during, and after the declaration of independence. That our nation's future hung is such a precarious balance and that our very existence depended on this small group of revolutionaries makes for a riveting presentation. I enjoyed it as much as I enjoyed John Adams.
