Too easy
Revisado: 12-04-23
It was too easy to end with death. What would happen to these lovers who were kept apart because of the worlds they live in and their own prejudices.

The reader’s voice was very high pitched and annoying. I continued, thinking that I needed to make this comment at the end.

I enjoyed the story but not the reader. Her words were too stilted. For example, always using long a when short a word have been a much better choice.

To her surprise, Jason, a brilliant economics professor at NYU, had other plans, and they married the following summer. For Angela, the marriage turned out to be a chance to reboot her life. She and her son were finally able to move out of her mother's home to Manhattan, where no one knew about her tragic past.

Historia
Alva Smith, her Southern family destitute after the Civil War, married into one of America’s great Gilded Age dynasties: the newly wealthy but socially shunned Vanderbilts. Alva defied convention for women of her time, asserting power within her marriage and becoming a leader in the women's suffrage movement. In A Well-Behaved Woman, Therese Anne Fowler paints a glittering world of enormous wealth contrasted against desperate poverty, of social ambition and social scorn, of friendship and betrayal, and an unforgettable story of a remarkable woman.
