Private Detective Cormoran Strike is contacted by a worried father whose son, Will, has gone to join a religious cult in the depths of the Norfolk countryside. Epigraph was the best part
Revisado: 10-02-23
It took me a while to get past the initial narration that sounded kind of echoey or distant(hard to describe v annoying though). I really wanted to listen to the book and used a credit to do so. Anyways it was pretty slow in the beginning maybe because of the audiobook aspect but I set timers to guard how far to rewind when I fell asleep. But then Robin infiltrated the cult and I was hooked. I wish there was a lot less book to get to that part. In the end the very last chapter had me leaping across the room. I’m hoping for at least one more book as a result. HP was 7 this can be 8

Story ok narration terrible
Revisado: 06-08-23
You can tell this was recorded in a room with an echo and on a cell phone. You know when your volume turns down when you get an alert? Yeah there’s a lot of that. Also she doesn’t know how to pronounce a lot of words. Don’t get me started on accents. The narrator should’ve listened before submitting. I doubt anyone listened to this book before putting it out. I’d be irate if it wasn’t a free book.

There are three things you need to know about Elizabeth Finney: 1) She suffers from severe sarcastic syndrome, especially when she's unnerved, 2) No one unnerves her like Nico Manganiello, and 3) She knows how to knit.

Dracula
Revisado: 01-15-23
I hate hate hate the voice for Nico. I sped up the book so the story wouldn’t be drawn out so long. The narrator talk so slow and Nico sounds like Dracula. I was expecting 2 voices ahh ahh ahh. I’m glad this is free or I’d request my money back

Stressed listener
Revisado: 06-19-22
I’m glad I already read this book years ago on paper because I have no idea how anyone can finish the audiobook. This is my only regret credit. The book is disturbing yes. It’s one you’re okay with forgetting yes. It’s one that’s hard to read because it’s vulgar but not hard knowing someone out there’s story is being told.
The problem is sapphire. There’s no way she wrote this book with punctuation because she does not know how to read any of it. I wanted to stab myself in the ears listening to this and I’ve only made it 30 min in in the past year.
