Not as great as the first, but still good.
Revisado: 12-08-20
Honestly, I was hoping for something more in this book, but it is still good. I love the character development and the story is pretty decent. One of my favorite moments was Jack stealing a ship, and that is because I felt like only Jack Myst could only do that. The only problem I have, Scorn. Rather than make Scorn a terrifying villain, he just comes off as pathetic. The first time Jack won was through deceit and secrets. Here, Scorn should have known what Jack was truly capable of and use it to his advantage rather. If you want a book better than the first, you are not going to find it here, but I still recommend it.

Historia
Now infamous for his exploits, Jack Myst is a master thief. As a member of the Thieves Guild, he has fought assassins, reavers, and even a devil - but now he faces his greatest challenge yet, the rank of guildmaster. Ascending to the office after defeating Skorn at Margauth, he launches a daring plan, one to steal what cannot be stolen. A god. But Skorn has retrieved the fragments of an ancient artifact, and has begun construction on the Necrolith, the beacon of ending. He issues a king's bounty on Jack's head, turning governments and guilds against him.

A real disappointment of the series.
Revisado: 12-08-20
Do you know the saying never judge a book by its cover? Well, that should go with titles as well. The God Thief is the ugly child of the Jack Myst Trilogy. Whereas the first created a great mystery and the second had good character development, this one had none of that. And it sad because I love the first two books, and wanted to see this one as the best of the trilogy.

It is really good.

If you are a fan of Jack Myst from the Second War series, then you will love this book. This not only builds up Jack Myst's personality but also give a complete origin of the character himself. I rank it 4/5 stars.
