I found the story and it’s completion to be very satisfying. If you’ve made it to this book, there’s not much to explain. Tiffany Grant knocks it out of the park again with her reprisal of Asuka and coverage of all of the other well loved characters.

Tiffany Grant as narrator makes this feel even more like a direct continuation of the original evangelion series. It ends on a cliffhanger, and thankfully that means there should be more to come. I hope this project receives enough support for the entire thing to be completed.

A light hearted look into American Orthodoxy.

Fr. Joseph lightens the mood and addresses the joys and pitfalls of the orthodox church as it exists in the United States. Full of entertaining tangents, and comically expressed ideas. Super fun digressions. But stick around. You will soon find that you’ve been roped into some important thoughts. You might learn some lessons you wouldn’t easily pick up elsewhere. I think this is one case where the audio book read by the author is one of the best ways to consume the book. Father Joseph is a very good storyteller. I hope to see more titles like this in the future.

Useful for seekers and longtime Christians.

The long term Christian will find this book to be a good refresher. And in fact you will probably learn things that you were either never were taught or don’t quite remember well. The later portion of the book I found especially helpful. Father Andrew is very articulate and easy to understand.

Come for the knowledge and stay for the cargo cults!

An excellent walkthrough on Christianity’s origins and the divides as they came to be. Useful for any branch of Christianity. Heterodoxy comes in many forms and flavors. Find out the beginnings of your tradition.

Fr. Andrew put a lot of work into this. If there’s something you disagree with you may find it surprising that your own outside research will hold it up as correct.

Towards the end you will come across some other worldviews. Including tribes that reenact preparation for cargo plane landings in hopes of returning goods from the heavens. Many decades after the last plane left.

Wonderfully fills in historical holes.

This material would be excellent for those who are falling into the Exvangelical Phenomenon. It also utterly crushes ideas hill by men like Andy Stanley who think the Old Testament is not important for new Christians in this modern age. This book also has information that would be appealing to pagans who have only ever been exposed to western Christian ideas.They may indeed find that ancient Christianity has everything they’ve been looking for in their pursuit of spiritual truth
