Historia
After facing war, death, unruly gods, and unmitigated evil, Minalan the Spellmonger is forced to return to Farise, the site of his earliest battles, with the simple assignment to conquer the subtropical city-state and expel the pirates that plague the kingdom’s shipping. Tired of warfare, Minalan embarks on a clandestine campaign to do so, assuming an alias and setting up shop in Farise as a mere Practical Adept as cover for his operation. Recruiting a cadre of talented agents to assist, he reluctantly begins the task of infiltrating and observing Farisian society.

Perfect light hearted break in a long war!
Revisado: 09-29-24
The spellmonger series just can’t get any better. Terry Mancour is a genius. This book was the perfect less serious puzzle piece to the overall story. Well done.

Historia
A heroic young thief and her family fight against the darkness that threatens the entire land in the riveting final volume of this fantasy adventure saga. An increasingly talented and skilled shadowthief, Gatina of House Furtius—known in more rebellious circles as the Kitten of Night—continues her covert work in the ongoing struggle against the vile usurper Count Vichetral. Vichetral's dominion over the duchy of Alshar has grown ever darker, with slavery now legal and vicious gangs brutally enforcing his will.

The narrator seems to purposely mispronounce words
Revisado: 04-10-24
The story is great as always. Terry mancour is a genius. But this narrator seems to have listened to the other spellmonger books and intentionally pronounce names and places wrong. Not even just names and places. Just now says “lamented sea bows made from horn”. That makes no sense. The word is laminated not lamented. I’m no narrator but I could have done a better job than this. It definitely affects the listening experience negatively. John Lee should have just narrated these books as well. Fiona is quite terrible.

Prophetic Perfection!
Revisado: 09-16-23
This series is the best of its genre on audible, flat out. I’d say the books themselves are also at the top of my list. Add John Lee’s narration and it’s absolutely addictive.

Historia
Minalan gave up a promising career as a professional warmage to live the quiet life of a village spellmonger in the remote mountain valley of Boval. It was a peaceful, beautiful little fief, far from the dangerous feudal petty squabbles of the Five Duchies, on the world of Callidore. There were cows. Lots of cows. And cheese. For six months things went well: He found a quaint little shop, he befriended the local lord, the village folk loved him, he found a sharp young apprentice to help out, and, best yet, he met a comely young widow with the prettiest eyes.

Fantasy just does not get better than Spellmonger
Revisado: 09-14-23
I’ve read or listened to the top 100 rated fantasy/sci fi series. Spellmonger is hand down the most entertaining series I’ve ever enjoyed. Currently I’m waiting for book 16, Preceptor. Waiting eagerly, which is rare in my experience. Usually after 10 books or so series seem to sputter out. Not so with Minilan. Terry is an absolute genius.

Historia
Setting out into exile is never much fun, but Minalan wants to publicly comply with Prince Tavard's order to leave Sevendor for three years to spare his home any retribution. Instead of using magic to transport himself to his new lands, Minalan decides to leave cross-country in a wagon with his father. Down the Bontal River, Min and his dad make a stop at Robinwing, get snowed in at Barrowbell, and enjoy a few days as guests of Baron Astyral.

Character development in its highest form.
Revisado: 07-27-23
There are atleast 30 characters in this series that I actually feel like I know as an actual person. I have no clue how Terry can be so much better than every single author I’ve ever read in this genre, but he pulls it off. I’ve read or listened to the top 100 fantasy/sci fi books and series. None compare.

Historia
The goblin invasion is on...and a wizard's work is never done! After facing a hopeless siege, an implacable foe, and an impossible escape, you would think that Minalan the Spellmonger would be able to rest - but the armies of the undead goblin shaman Shereul (known as the Dead God to his human victims) are rolling over the Western reaches of the rustic Duchy of Alshar and is headed toward the heart of the Duchy of Castal. Thousands are fleeing for their lives as hordes of goblins pour out of Boval Vale and devastate the rugged fiefs of the Alshari Wilderlands.

As the crises in the heart of the kingdom grows, Minalan is tasked to force the so-called Witch Queen of Darkfaller from her new stronghold using any means necessary. Historia
Having discovered her true heritage, young Gatina is embracing her evolving role as an apprentice shadowthief. It turns out procuring things that don’t actually belong to you can be rather exciting. But the first thing a good thief must learn is how to not get caught. If the evil usurper Count Vichetral snares Gatina or her beloved family, a truly unpleasant fate awaits. So her defiant father has deposited Gatina and her brother in the last place Vichetral’s men would think to look for them: stately Palomar Abbey.

Spellmonger is hands down the BEST fantasy series available.
Revisado: 11-25-22
This book was great! My only complaint is some of the narrators pronunciations of some of the words in the story. Such as Magagrocy, the first “g” in that word is pronounced as a “j” just like MAGIC is also pronounced the same. Normally that wouldn’t bother me, but considering this entire series is based around magic it seems just unforgivable to say that word a couple hundred times completely wrong in the book. Otherwise it’s a great book. I’d rather John lee had narrated.
