Too much data and not enough facts

First off the book states it has a narrator but it sounds digital to me and I don’t like it. The author weaves all sorts of names and implies they are part of a conspiracy but also has many supposedly, possibly, has been known etc. I leave the book with the feeling (if true) many many people in power are pedophile sleeze balls. Part 2 is not in my future, couldn’t wait to get to the end of part 1.

Lots of interesting military experiences

This guy, the author, was a quick thinker and clever operator. He takes on a journey through his war activities and also some humorous interactions with fellow soldiers and enemies.

I enjoy books relating pioneers and their adventures. It almost sounds like fiction because of the risks, injuries, deaths and adversity. Bridget’s life was an adventure that can never be replicated.

No war story like it

The main character takes us on adventures while occurring during World War Two. The things that happen run from happy to unbelievably sad. This book is well worth the listen.

Good recounting of author’s experiences

The author recounts various episodes of his second tour of duty in Viet Nam. I liked how he shared his story and brought details into it. For example he would tell you what emotions he saw in the faces of his subordinates.

Interesting look at Nazis

The book took real life stories of various characters unique in their own way. Provides a study on how a regular citizen could get to where Germany was entering WWII. provides a juxtaposition to our internment of American Japanese and our racism towards black folk.

Just the facts

This book has taken a lot of research. I am able to take away from the author is that statistics provide more information about gun control failures. What seems like common sense in fact needs more consideration. The book had too many statistics to be entertaining.

Good recount of a war experience

I enjoyed the story because it shared personal emotional and physical aspects of Lucky’s life. It didn’t waste a lot of words on unnecessary details which would not support the narrative.

Super warriors

Good to know we have these highly trained soldiers in our military to protect us. Lots of good stuff here but also seems to have filler to make the the book a decent length.

Read the title closely

I almost deleted this from my library before I listened to it. The book title explains the content but I didn’t pay close attention. There are true crime stories but really it is a spiritual education. I got a lot out of it and the reason why I gave it only two stars is because I didn’t get the story I expected.
