Historia
Darrow is a Red, a member of the lowest caste in the color-coded society of the future. Like his fellow Reds, he works all day, believing that he and his people are making the surface of Mars livable for future generations. Yet he spends his life willingly, knowing that his blood and sweat will one day result in a better world for his children. But Darrow and his kind have been betrayed. Soon he discovers that humanity reached the surface generations ago. Vast cities and sprawling parks spread across the planet.

Absolutely amazing book. I truly didn't expect it but this book is definitely in my top 3 all time favorites! If you enjoy strategy and tactics combined with an introspective look on humanity and its history, then you'll love this book

Historia
In a sleepy village in the Shire, a young hobbit is entrusted with an immense task. He must make a perilous journey across Middle-earth to the Cracks of Doom, there to destroy the Ruling Ring of Power - the only thing that prevents the Dark Lord Sauron’s evil dominion. Thus begins J. R. R. Tolkien’s classic tale of adventure, which continues in The Two Towers and The Return of the King.

GOBLINS! Not ORCS
Revisado: 05-21-24
The book is great, as expected, and Andy did a marvelous job narrating it. HOWEVER, there's one mistake that repeats a couple times. In Bilbo's adventures, The Hobbit, he fights Goblins and the company kills the Head Goblin. In the prelog, and a couple other parts of the book, they refer to the tunnels as Orc tunnels instead of Goblins. It's mentioned when talking about the finding of the ring or in the battle of five armies, which included Men, Dwarfs, Elfs, Goblins, and Wargs. Other than that, the book is great!

Historia
Deep down here by the dark water lived old Gollum, a small slimy creature. I don’t know where he came from, nor who or what he was. He was Gollum—as dark as darkness, except for two big round pale eyes in his thin face. He had a little boat, and he rowed about quite quietly on the lake; for lake it was, wide and deep and deadly cold.

Not the first time that I listened to the book but Andy's narration made it an even better listen. Obviously, Gollum's part is amazing, as expected, but the rest of the characters and general narration was great!

Too long to be a short story, too short to be a novel - welcome to the surprisingly potent world of the novelette. The award-winning magazine Orson Scott Card's Intergalactic Medicine Show has been an online haven for this powerful form of storytelling since 2005. Now its editors have selected their all-time favorite science fiction novelettes from the magazine's eight-year history and reprinted them together in one big book of listening pleasure.

Light and great
Revisado: 05-02-24
A bunch of great short stories, although some of them were repeated from the other volume. The blackstone audio narrators are awesome as always. I listened to the entire audio series of ender's game, twice, including the short stories and live reading, and it's always such a good listen. Currently on my mission to finish all of Orson's audio books and I've loved everything I read so far!

Historia
As statistics tell us that most of the "ventureholics" who go out on their own to start a business will ultimately fail; and, as readers will learn, the main reason for this is because most businesses are not started the right way. Based on decades of experience working with small business owners, Michael Gerber will teach budding entrepreneurs his one-of-a-kind seven-step method - which is meant to be conceptualized long before the doors are ever opened.

Too general and vague
Revisado: 05-12-23
The book started ok but the more I listened I saw that there almost no concrete advice. If you wanted any concrete information it only reffered you to his website and stuff where you would pay for more tools. I still thought there would be some value to it until I got to the chapter where he starts talking about God and belief and how important it is to have faith in God for your business and that's when it went from 2 to one starts for me.
I'm happy this book was available for free and I didn't have to waste a credit on it. As usual the problem is that the book doesn't present itself in a way that is reflective.

Historia
Deep below the University, there is a dark place. Few people know of it: a broken web of ancient passageways and abandoned rooms. A young woman lives there, tucked among the sprawling tunnels of the Underthing, snug in the heart of this forgotten place. Her name is Auri, and she is full of mysteries. The Slow Regard of Silent Things is a brief, bittersweet glimpse of Auri’s life, a small adventure all her own. At once joyous and haunting, this story offers a chance to see the world through Auri’s eyes.

It's very different
Revisado: 02-06-23
I think the main problem with this book is that it was described as book 2.5 in the King Killer Chronicles.
This book should be regarded as optional to the series and not part of it. The book it self is interesting in some ways and you do learn some things about the world of the series plus some bits and pieces that relate to the main plot. However it's a very different genre from the main story.
This feels to me like listening to very complex Jazz or Prog music. Those that are really advanced in the field enjoy the complexity and uniqueness of it but for regular readers it can be too much.
Those that were upset over the ending words of Patrick should cool down and listen again because he was just quoting his friend and not insulting his own readers.
When it comes to the narrator, I think it was actually a good choice to not use one for this book. At first I was upset. Not only because I like the narrator from the other two books but I also believe that a professional narrator does really elevate the story. However, not using one for this book actually helped separate this book from the main series and actually keep it a little more intact.
I'm still looking forward to reading the next book in the series.

Like Atomic Habits but less
Revisado: 12-07-22
The book has some good advice and most of the concepts are similar to James Clear's Atomic Habits, but that's pretty much it. The guy repeats the same concepts in different words for most of the book and half of it just feels like he's trying to sell his other services and products.
Some of this book also didn't age well. He talks about interviews he had with successful people and their advice when today we know it's a sham, when he mentions Lance Armstrong(who cheated through his career) and Trump.
At some point he just starts talking about concepts that completely contradict his early(and good) advice of taking it slow by saying you should always do more and push hard(toxic grinding mentality). Even giving examples of how you should push harder than what you're supposed to when you workout, which is dangerously false, and quoting Schwarzenegger who admitted for using steroids(which allow you to train harder than normal).
Overall a simple book that should have been shorter and you should just read Atomic Habits instead.

Pretty good
Revisado: 12-04-22
Not bad at all for a TV style audio book. I could definitely see this turn into a real show. Although I would also enjoy listening to a traditional book version of this.
I will say that the 15 minutes credits at the end was very unnecessary and at the very least could revolve around this book and not every book in the series.
