If you’re interested in games and the game industry, this book is a weird, but wonderful mix of celebratory, introspective, and sobering. As there are highs and lows in the game industry, you get a good glimpse behind the scenes.

I really can’t think of anything that I didn’t love about this. I loved the first book, which had great performances, a great audio aesthetic, and brought back all kinds of nostalgia. It also told a really relevant story for our new Covid-19 normal.

Isolation and reconnecting through games is a great premise. And with the right exposure and use, games have been shown as an effective therapeutic medium. So, it spoke to me.

This installment not only ups the ante in every way with more great characters, higher stakes, and a more expansive world, especially of the in-game world within the story, it brings in more and new chip tune music including an original song.

It's hard to know where to start with this. I know it's #Satire, but it is something that has taken on a certain level of believability lately. So it becomes incredibly #dark in the humor that it brings forth.

The book itself is written from the perspective from one of the first four Caesars of the Roman Empire. It's fascinating with great characters and has remarkably taut intrigued that would put most spy novel writers to shame.

This book is remarkable and the fact that it's narrated by the author who lived the events offers even more weight than the book already had. The fact that it's also written with a bit of hindsight allows the author to show in which ways we've improved and the ways that we've failed to advance with the times.

This book, while having humorous moments, due to the writing style of the author, is a fascinating look into the history of two generations of a family as they work as double agents. The point of their mission, disrupt Russian intelligence on American soil. It's definitely worth a listen, at least if you're interested in stories about intelligence and counter-intelligence, as it is an interesting story with a great voice that covers both intelligence and counter-intelligence.

Mythology is always a really interesting topic and Norse mythology is no different. A big question is whether or not Neil Gaiman does justice to the world, ethos, and aesthetic of Norse mythology.

It's a similar question that popped up with his book American Gods. Simply put, yes. Neil does a great job with the mythology and the introduction on its own is worth the price of entry whether you get the book as an audiobook or any form of a regular book.

I will also say this. Neil has the perfect voice for reading myth. I don't know what else to say.

There is a lot of great content in this audiobook and hearing both Bill Meyers and Joseph Campbell speak about such things is such a great inspiration. If I had anything bad to say about the audiobook is that it only contains about half of the full "Power of Myth" series. The regular book has the remaining episodes from the series transcribed, so that is definitely helpful. Beyond that one issue though, it's a fun, insightful walk through the world of mythology and human culture.
