Creative Fiction with Real-World View

Enjoyed Stephen King’s Mr. Mercedes (Bill Hodges) Trilogy and found Holly to be a great second act for the Finders Keepers detective agency. Well-written and well-read via Audible, even though it wasn’t the original cast. I see why though. It is because the book Holly stands alone as a novel in itself. As many fiction novelists have done in the past, the story circles around many real-world topics and events. This makes the story and characters more believable for the reader. Thus, it becomes more entertaining. Yes, it is true that I have read books in which I might not have agreed with a topic of the author’s choice, but nonetheless, I understand that I had opened the door to their world and not vice versa. So, I welcome the entertainment and perspective of the story as a whole. Thank you, Mr. King. Looking forward to your next book.

Last month I read this great "fiction" novel by Steven King. Today, while writing my review for the book Holly, I came across someone else's review of the same book. OMG-ish. The review slammed the author's minor part of the book, which touched on a real-world event. Some had mentioned that they were done with the author altogether. As I respect other people's opinions, I do not respect that a person doesn't take a full review of the whole story before going on a rampant boycott. Life isn't fair as it is, we don't need to add to the chaos with individual rude ignorance as well.


KNOW THIS...Reading is harmful to closed-minded individuals. The sole purpose of a book is to tell a story, share an experience, and to educate freely with one another. One usually picks up a book, if one chooses to do so, to hear someone's views, experiences, perspectives, and creativity. If you can not handle hearing other people's opinions and thoughts, it is best to stay between your lines (your box).

Captivating entertainment at its best!

There are few books that are able to deliver true entertainment and a sincere heartful message like the book, “The Heart Mender.” As a lifelong fan of the author, Andy Andrews, this is one of my top 10 favorite books on my bookshelf. The best books are written from real stories by real people, which is the backbone of this literature. What makes it more engrossing is the secret U.S. history, which is brought to life by accurate research and factual evidence dug up by the author himself.

Do yourself a favor and purchase two copies of this book, “The Heart Mender” because after you read it you will want to share the story with your family and friends. Book conversations are best over a cup of coffee (or tea).

* I also recommend other Andy Andrews books, such as "The Traveler’s Gift" & "The Traveler’s Submit." Also, the Jones books (The Noticer Series). Read them all for entertainment, but grow your heart through perspective.

Intentional Christian, by Daniel Ryan Day is a thought provoking book, as well as, enlightening. Not only does it share powerful life changing stories, it also offers Biblical Scripture references throughout the text. Living on purpose is what God has called us to do as a Christian every day and Mr. Day has opened our minds and hearts to these facts. A must read!

Magical and Remarkable

What did you love best about Eve?

This book was very detailed in the scenes which unfolded throughout the chapters.

What did you like best about this story?

How the main character, Lilly, evolved throughout the book.

Which scene was your favorite?

Chapter Twelve was my favorite. The creation of the days came alive in my mind's eye. Wow!

If you could take any character from Eve out to dinner, who would it be and why?

You would think that I would choose to have dinner with, Lilly, however, I would actually choose John. Mature and many stories to tell.

Any additional comments?

Whether you are a Christian or a non-Christian, the book, Eve, is a great work of literature. It tells an age-old story from a modern tone with such detail that it sweeps you away along the pages throughout the book. Such magic. Such beauty.

If you could sum up The Battle Plan for Prayer in three words, what would they be?

In three words: Prayer is Essential.

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Battle Plan for Prayer?

The many memorable moments throughout the Kendrick brothers stories is how powerful prayer is to us as believers. The Holy Spirit brings down God's power to battle anything that this world has to dish out.

Have you listened to any of David Cochran Heath’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

David Cochran is a wonderful narrator. Looking forward to listening to him again.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The "The Battle Plan for Prayer" isn't Stephen Kendrick or Alex Kendrick view points, but rather God's plan of action for man's prayer strategies. Yes, they both share many stories in the book, however, every page is backed with Biblical scripture. That is important.

Any additional comments?

For many years, I've enjoyed the Kendrick's publications. Both books and movies are inspirational and very powerful with God's message to us all. Everyone, stop what you are doing and take out your Bible along with this book and GET YOUR PRAYER ON !

Magically Written & Magically Preformed

Would you consider the audio edition of The Magic Strings of Frankie Presto to be better than the print version?

The text version of the book is wonderful. However, the audio book brought the written story to life in such a magical way. The three narrators made the words dance off the page with each note read.

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Magic Strings of Frankie Presto?

In addition to the ending climax of the book, the most memorable moments are the lively blue strings on Frankie's guitar. Great and powerful symbolism.

What does the narrators bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Even though the hard copy of the book, "The Magic Strings of Frankie Presto" has powerful characters in each chapter, the audio book version allows the three narrators bring it to a whole new level of entertainment.

If you could take any character from The Magic Strings of Frankie Presto out to dinner, who would it be and why?

Which character would I invite to dinner? The right answer would be Frankie Presto, however, that is the easy answer. Frankie became who he was through all the people he met along the path of his life. So, I would say everyone...and yes, Frankie Presto. But he must bring his guitar. ;-)
