Aggravating
Revisado: 03-22-25
The performance of the narrator was great! The main character of the book though……. Ugh. The story starts with the nativity of a young girl, but as a story goes on all I realized she was completely self-centered she was and not very smart. I truly hope the British intelligence would have known better than to be involved with this girl, plus trained her better! She made so many bad decisions, it made the story completely unbelievable. It was hard to listen to it after the middle of the book!

Good but ends abruptly

The book had potential but it was more to the taste of maybe a teenager. Then it ends so abruptly I thought something was wrong with the audio book.

Eye roll worthy
Revisado: 03-12-24
I’m not sure how I finished this book. Its story had potential but somehow couldn’t hold it together. I read or listened to several books a week and this is one book at the top of my worst books yet. Some of the sexual inserts were completely unnecessary thrown in there just because, along with the cuss words. They seemed completely out of place with the rest of the book!

This book was a hard listen at times. Those that survived the brutality of the nazis and Soviets, obviously, had a strong will to live and were very tough women! This was a good book and worth a credit!

Loved this book
Revisado: 11-19-23
This is a great book, as other reviews have stated the narrator wasn’t the best, but I completely enjoyed this story. I’ve been stuck on World War two books for a couple of years and this is one of the best I’ve listen to. I highly recommend giving this book a listen or read. It was a heart wrenching book, with two different time periods.
