Historia
Two days before Christmas 1996, the broken, battered body of Sophie Toscan du Plantier was found outside her vacation home in West Cork, a serene region on Ireland’s idyllic southern coast. Decades later, no one has been charged with the murder, but the aggrieved inhabitants of West Cork are convinced they know who did it - and he still lives among them.

What did you love best about West Cork?
Fascinating account of an unsolved homicide. No conclusion is reached by the podcast, which left it to the listener to draw their own conclusions. Please, Audible, do more of these mystery podcasts!!!
What did you like best about this story?
How the character of Ian Bailey was allowed to develop from his own words.

Historia
We’ve been told that a vegetarian diet can feed the hungry, honor the animals, and save the planet. Lierre Keith believed in that plant-based diet and spent twenty years as a vegan. But in The Vegetarian Myth, she argues that we’ve been led astray - not by our longings for a just and sustainable world, but by our ignorance. e truth is that agriculture is a relentless assault against the planet, and more of the same won’t save us. In service to annual grains, humans have devastated prairies and forests, driven countless species extinct, altered the climate, and destroyed the topsoil - the basis of life itself....

One of the best books I've read recently
Revisado: 03-07-12
The Vegetarian myth is a book that is full of passion and honesty. The topic was covered in every possible way, and the author's personal story added to my interest. Couldn't recommend it more highly.

Historia
Based on more than 40 interviews with Jobs conducted over two years—as well as interviews with more than a hundred family members, friends, adversaries, competitors, and colleagues—Walter Isaacson has written a riveting story of the roller-coaster life and searingly intense personality of a creative entrepreneur whose passion for perfection and ferocious drive revolutionized six industries: personal computers, animated movies, music, phones, tablet computing, and digital publishing.

Fascinating
Revisado: 11-16-11
I almost didn't buy this book because of the bad reviews for the narrator. When you listen to the snippet Audible gives you, you don't realize you're hearing Walter Isaacson. He's not a bad reader, just not great. When Dylan Baker came on, I knew that I'd heard his voice before, but I couldn't place it. I thought he did a great job, so I looked him up, and of course I recognized him. Anyway, my two cents. (PS. There are narrators I can't stand, and won't buy books because of them. But this guy is wonderful.)

Historia
The Limits of Power identifies a profound triple crisis facing America: the economy, in remarkable disarray, can no longer be fixed by relying on expansion abroad; the government, transformed by an imperial presidency, is a democracy in form only; U.S. involvement in endless wars, driven by a deep infatuation with military power, has been a catastrophe for the body politic. If the nation is to solve its predicament, it will need the revival of a distinctly American approach.

Great Book!

This was one of the best and most important
books I've read all year. Really put the world --
and the US role in it -- in perspective.
