Should not of been written
Revisado: 07-17-19
I’ve very much enjoyed other of Harrison’s novels, but this one should not have been written. A more appropriate title should have been, “The Ramblings of an Elderly Alcoholic Pederast”. Note to any authors planning on letting go later in life; don’t. That should be your inside voice.

Historia
New York Times best-selling author Jim Harrison is one of America's most beloved writers, and of all his creations, Brown Dog - a bawdy, reckless, down-on-his-luck Michigan Indian - has earned cult status with readers in the more than two decades since his first appearance. For the first time, Brown Dog gathers all the Brown Dog novellas, including one never before published, into one volume - the ideal introduction (or reintroduction) to Harrison's irresistible Everyman.

Great story, but one of the narrators is off
Revisado: 03-15-19
These are great stories about an Everyman type living an incredible life on the U.P.. However, the narrator for the “LA story” and the last novella is awful. He has a weird inflection that makes the story hard to understand. He also mispronounces key places and makes Natives sound like drunk Canadians. Wish I would have read the book instead.

They are among the few in the world, as far as they know, to have survived a devastating virus that has swept over the planet. Their lives turned upside down, Nico realizes that his superb marksmanship and cool head mean he is destined to be his father's protector, even though he is still only a boy.

Just a cut above
Revisado: 03-08-18
Deon Meyers post apocalyptic world in fever just has better developed plot and characters than any other in this genre. I highly recommend this and his other books.

One of my favorite audible fiction books
Revisado: 09-07-16
Moves a little slow at first but story is engrossing afterwards. Great narration also. One of Pressfields best.
