Awful!
Revisado: 07-15-23
Terrible author. Narrators were terrible. Could not stand more than 30 minutes. Very shallow and predictable. Not a very innovative plot at all. She better keep her day job!

Historia
It’s spring in the tiny town of Damariscotta, a tourist haven on the coast of Maine known for its oysters and antiques. Andrew, a high school English teacher recently returned to the area, has brought his family to Ed and Steph Thatch’s sprawling riverside estate to attend a reception for the Amherst women’s lacrosse team. Back when they were all teenagers, Andrew never could have predicted that Ed, descended from a long line of lobstermen, or Steph, a decent student until she dropped out to start a family, would ever send a daughter to a place like Amherst.

Great Description of life on the Midcoast of Maine
Revisado: 08-18-22
As one raised in Maine and still a frequent visitor to the Midcoast I found the description of the area and it”s populace quite accurate.
A great book for anyone to read before vacationing in, or especially thinking about MOVING to, the Midcoast permanently!

Historia
It's June 1941, and the low point of the war. England throws wave after wave of RAF bombers across the Channel, but somehow the Luftwaffe is able to shoot them down at will. The skies, indeed, the war itself seem to belong to Hitler.

A little far fetched
Revisado: 06-22-22
Some of the story requires suspending your disbelief! Standing outside on the wing of a small plane filling the fuel tank?
I think not!

Historia
From the New York Times best-selling authors of America's First Daughter comes the epic story of Eliza Schuyler Hamilton - a revolutionary woman who, like her new nation, struggled to define herself in the wake of war, betrayal, and tragedy. In this haunting, moving, and beautifully written book, Dray and Kamoie used thousands of letters and original sources to tell Eliza's story as it's never been told before - not just as the wronged wife at the center of a political sex scandal but also as a founding mother who shaped an American legacy in her own right.

Atrocious narration!
Revisado: 12-16-21
It is a very interesting, educational and well written story, but………the narration was horrible! What rationale is there for the voices of the main character (Hamilton) and great devotion any war figures like, Madison , Washington, Monroe and Jefferson being presented by a female in a nasal tone that at best sounded like a 90 year old wizened troll from under some bridge? All the male narration was presented by this grating nerve wracking voice. I could not finish due to this inexcusable policy! Story should be retold using male voices for all the male characters.
