Historia
Three years ago, sports agent Myron Bolitar gave a eulogy at the funeral of his client, renowned basketball coach Greg Downing. Myron and Greg had history: initially as deeply personal rivals, and later as unexpected business associates. Myron made peace and moved on–until now, when two federal agents walked into his office, demanding to know where Greg Downing is.

Not as good
Revisado: 05-25-24
I love Harlan Coben books. Wait eagerly for the next one to be available. This one does not stand with the great ones. It’s not bad by any means but doesn’t grab you like some of the others. It took me a week to finish, whereas I stay up all night for some of the others

Thought provoking.
Revisado: 05-16-23
I really enjoyed this book. Kept finding time to get back to it and stayed up last night to finish it. I think it is a timely reminder of what small acts can lead to. Book banning is in the news right now. We don’t want to let history repeat itself.

Okay
Revisado: 11-01-22
This book was ok, but nowhere near as good as most of the Prey books I’ve read. Didn’t seem to move as fast as most if the others. Author says he removed social commentary from it, but there is still a lot left

Convoluted!
Revisado: 07-20-22
This book held my attention right up to the surprising ending. The reader was very good. The only negative thing I will say is that it was a bit long. Ruth Ware tends to drag things out a bit with so many characters and subplots, Very worth reading however

In wrong order
Revisado: 06-07-20
I have now read books one thru three in this series by Ragnar Jónasson. I’ve enjoyed all three, but they are in the wrong order. This book should be number two and Nightblind third. Events in this book occur before things happening in Nightblind. I waited for it to be some kind of flashback, but there never was. Not great literature, but interesting main character

Historia
After former Justice Department agent Cotton Malone witnesses the theft of one of them, he learns from his old boss, Stephanie Nelle, that a private auction is about to be held where incriminating information on the president of Poland will be offered to the highest bidder - blackmail that both the United States and Russia want, but for vastly different reasons. The price of admission to that auction is one of the relics, so Malone is first sent to a castle in Poland to steal the Holy Lance, a 1,000-year-old spear sacred to not only Christians but to the Polish people.

Good listen
Revisado: 03-09-20
This one was a good listen, but certainly not the best Steve Berry ever. Can’t imagine Cotton Malone as anyone but Scott Brick. He is outstanding as always. I thought I agreed with others about Berry commenting at the end of each chapter. BUT at the end when he held comments to the end it was hard to relate them back to the story. So I guess I like and don’t like it both ways.

Women's point of view
Revisado: 05-25-17
This book is different than many World War II novels in that it is from the point of view of three women. These women come from different backgrounds but become friends as they survive the war. Similar in some ways to The Nightingale. I really enjoyed this book and recommend it highly
