You better have headphones to listen to this book
Revisado: 07-17-21
This was actually one of her better ones . there wasn't as much sex scenes and it was more mystery. the main characters actually had history. My only problem listening to this book was every time the main character's name was said out loud , all of my Alexa devices would shut the book off and start giving commands. it was very annoying

great story, horrific narrator
Revisado: 02-11-21
I wish the series had a different narrator. this narrator does not know how to pronounce words. she doesn't know how to use the right inflections. half the time you don't know if Quinn is being a brat, a bully, a bitter lady or a child because of the way this narrator reads. I think I might actually get the print version of the rest of the series because it's so bad and distracting.

Historia
Some secrets don’t stay buried. Three elaborately staged victims. No clues. A public verging on panic. FBI profiler Victor Loshak heads to Kansas City to hunt another serial killer. But something about this case is all wrong. The three corpses lie posed. Face up. A glove laid to cover each right eye. The victims seem to be selected at random. Suburban. Upper middle class. Squeaky clean. It doesn’t make sense. A piece is missing from this puzzle.

good story but...
Revisado: 01-06-21
this was a good story and it takes place where I live... prairie village , mission hills , Independence , MO... my only problem is why is the narrator reading with a country - hillbilly accent when they're supposed to be narratating the Kansas City people? mission hills and prairie village are uppety neighborhoods ...educated... formal. I mean, the police stations have espresso machines in them. they don't talk like that- spitting, chewing tobacco kind of small town sheriff department.

underdeveloped characters
Revisado: 11-18-20
it was a good concept that the author was confused whether or not to do a mystery or romance novel and because they didn't get deep into the character development you really didn't care one way or another if they fell in love if someone died if someone got hurt you just didn't care. oh. and Lucinda is a horrible psychic

this book does not belong in the thriller section. It belongs in the religious gospel witnessing section I fast-forwarded through a bunch of sections where I was all about witnessing it took away from the crime story.

dumbest female sherriff... ever
Revisado: 12-28-19
these characters were not very deep. Jenna, as the sheriff, is the prime example of why people think women should not be sheriff. she's naive, she's bipolar, she doesn't pay attention to clues... she was awful. the only good characters in this book was her deputy Cain and sidekick rowdy. The book is a good plot but she made all us women look bad. how to get past her up and down mood swings and all over the map ideas.
