Historia
When Flinx, no stranger to galactic intrigue, found an unconscious woman on a riverbank deep in the jungles of Alaspin, he took it in stride. When he learned that the woman, Clarity Held, was a brilliant scientist abducted from a remote outpost on inhospitable Longtunnel by a group of fanatic assassins, he tried to help the beautiful Clarity back to her project. Unfortunately, the assassins were still at work.

Flinx and Pip are always entertaining
Revisado: 03-05-13
Where does Flinx in Flux rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
Middling, but due to the difference of listening to a favorite story as opposed to re-reading it. It wasn't a good transition for me.
What about Stefan Rudnicki’s performance did you like?
He did a good job with Flinx's moments of philosophy and kept it from being melodramatic. He did especially well with the somewhat crazy evil lady and the eco-terrorists.
Any additional comments?
I have been reading Flinx stories forever, it seems, and I have enjoyed Flinx's maturation and the eventual resolution of his story. Flinx in Flux is a pivotal step in Flinx's life, so I recommend this to anyone who wasn't sure if they want to continue the saga. I especially like the aliens presented in this particular story, and the set up of "frontier" worlds. If you read the entire set of Flinx stories, it's obvious these were written over a long time and there are some loose ends that never get tied up, but that's a minor drawback because Alan Dean Foster is a great storyteller. He is also a great SF author. I love exploring new worlds with him. However, he has a tendency to pontificate, and it seems he especially likes Flinx to pontificate. I always enjoy this the first time or two that I read the passages, but I found listening to them a bit annoying. I just have to learn how to fast forward, I guess. This is the only reason I will hesitate to listen to one of his stories again.

Historia
The half-mad Prince Boleso has been slain by a noblewoman he had intended to defile. It falls to Lord Ingrey kin Wilfcliff to transport the prince to his burial place and to bring the accused killer, Lady Ijada, to judgment. The road he travels with his burden and his prisoner is fraught with danger. But in the midst of political chaos, magic has the fiercer hold on Ingrey's destiny, and Ijada herself may turn out to be the only one he dares trust.

Great Bujold story, well portrayed
Revisado: 12-21-12
If you could sum up The Hallowed Hunt in three words, what would they be?
Top notch Bujold
What did you like best about this story?
Ingrey is one of my favorite Bujold characters. I love the ice bear side story.
What does Marguerite Gavin bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
I missed some fine nuances. Side characters were more real and interesting this way.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
When Ingrey considers denying the influence of the Gods, and when Ingrey and Ijada connect on the steps (it's not what you think).
Any additional comments?
I don't think it's possible to be dissatisfied with a Bujold story, even if you don't agree with some of the characterization by the reader.
