Historia
When the witch built the 40-flight tower, she made very sure to do the whole thing properly. Each flight contains a dreadful monster, ranging from a diamond-scaled dragon to a pack of slavering goblins. Should a prince battle his way to the top, he will be rewarded with a golden sword - and the lovely Princess Floralinda. But no prince has managed to conquer the first flight yet, let alone get to the 40th. In fact, the supply of fresh princes seems to have quite dried up.

Simply hilarious!
Revisado: 02-03-23
This novella was one of the greatest things I've read (listened to) in a while. Very much of a style similar to Adams or Pratchett, but with very much its own tone, I was smiling or laughing from beginning to end. Moira's performance was also truly exquisite, really hitting the right notes for absurdness this story deserves. Lovely!!

Historia
Three factions vie for control of the galaxy. Rig, a gunslinging, thieving rebel-with-a-cause, doesn’t give a damn about them, and she hasn’t looked back since abandoning them three years ago. That is, until her former faction sends her a message: Return what she stole from them, or her twin sister will die. Rig embarks on a journey across the galaxy to save her - but for once, she’s not alone. She has help from her network of resistance contacts, her taser-wielding librarian girlfriend, and a mysterious bounty hunter.

A classic sci-fi space romp!

What a great time I had listening to this book! I really enjoyed the main characters and their very different personalities and, um, life philosophies/perspectives/viewpoints, and how these traits impacted how the story unfolded.

Great story, great performance!
Revisado: 03-07-22
I thoroughly enjoyed this book, with it's multiple fun, intriguing, twisting and turning storylines that, somehow, all end up related to each other, often to the surprise of the well written characters.

Brilliantly told and written conclusion
Revisado: 02-27-22
I can't recommend or praise this series enough. The story being shared is epic while still living within and exploring the very personal spaces of the characters. The author has also turned the prose into an art form on its own.

Historia
In this richly developed fantasy, Lei is a member of the Paper caste, the lowest and most persecuted class of people in Ikhara. She lives in a remote village with her father, where the decade-old trauma of watching her mother snatched by royal guards for an unknown fate still haunts her. Now, the guards are back, and this time, it's Lei they're after - the girl with the golden eyes whose rumored beauty has piqued the king's interest.
