Historia
Derick Lugo had never been hiking. He certainly couldn't imagine going more than a day without manicuring his goatee. But with a job cut short and no immediate plans, this fixture of the New York comedy scene began to think about what he might do with months of free time. He had heard of the Appalachian Trail, but he had never seriously considered attempting to hike all 2,184.2 miles of it. Suddenly he found himself asking, Could he do it?

why hike if I can sit on the couch? ohhhh, because i CAN! What a great listen. A bit horrific to hear as i am the overprepared hiker, however hearing the honesty in emotions is beautiful (and terrifying).

Not much of a story, compared to the amount of information and insight the author gives. TONS of helpful nuggets for any level of hiker. I've been a long distance hiker/bikepacker for years and I pick up on new stuff everytime I've listened to this book. Chris offers and covers almost every setup/option for every aspect of a hike. Enjoy!

Historia
An affair: It can rob a couple of their relationship, their happiness, their very identity. And yet this extremely common human experience is so poorly understood. Adultery has existed since marriage was invented, and so, too, the prohibition against it - in fact it has a tenacity that marriage can only envy. Iconic couples' therapist and best-selling author of Mating in Captivity Esther Perel returns with a groundbreaking and provocative look at infidelity, arguing for a more nuanced and less judgmental conversation about our transgressions.
