Historia
On Winston Churchill’s first day as prime minister, Adolf Hitler invaded Holland and Belgium. Poland and Czechoslovakia had already fallen, and the Dunkirk evacuation was just two weeks away. For the next 12 months, Hitler would wage a relentless bombing campaign, killing 45,000 Britons. It was up to Churchill to hold his country together and persuade President Franklin Roosevelt that Britain was a worthy ally - and willing to fight to the end. In The Splendid and the Vile, Erik Larson shows how Churchill taught the British people "the art of being fearless."

Excellent reading
Revisado: 08-19-22
The narrator does an excellent job of marking who is speaking by tone of voice and inflection. The book itself is one of the best “biographies”I’ve read/listened to. The pulling from many diaries and journal entries allows this to be an up close personal view of Churchill during the blitz. It immerses you in the action and makes you want to keep listening. What a man, what a leader. What a time to live through.

Historia
This classic novel by the brilliant G. K. Chesterton tells the rollicking tale of Innocent Smith, a man who may be crazy - or possibly the most sane man of all. Arriving at a dreary London boarding house accompanied by a windstorm, Smith is an exuberant, eccentric, and sweet-natured man. Smith has a positive effect on the house - he creates his own court, brings a few couples together, and falls in love with a paid companion next door. All seems to be well with the world.

Are you alive?
Revisado: 04-22-22
If you get confused, just keep reading. This is not your average book. The story line changes and morphs but the main point is clear—just because your breathing doesn’t mean your alive. This book will make you think about your life and wether your are just swept along by customs into unhappiness or if your are seeking to follow the creeds (God) into fullness of joy.
