A former undercover CIA agent narrated this
Revisado: 02-03-22
If I had taken a shot for every time he mentioned this fact, I’d be in the hospital with alcohol poisoning. Shut up dude. We know, we get it, you’re super smart and qualified and oh btw also a former undercover CIA operative.

This guy will annoy you
Revisado: 01-28-22
I really wanted to like this but I found the main guy being interviewed (or rather, him telling his own story) as so narcissist and entitled that I just couldn’t finish the series.

Historia
What’s to be done about a jaywalking moose? A bear caught breaking and entering? A murderous tree? Three hundred years ago, animals that broke the law would be assigned legal representation and put on trial. These days, as New York Times best-selling author Mary Roach discovers, the answers are best found not in jurisprudence but in science: the curious science of human-wildlife conflict, a discipline at the crossroads of human behavior and wildlife biology.

Historia
In ancient Rome, all the best stories have one thing in common - murder. In one 50-year period, 26 emperors were murdered. But what did killing mean in a city where gladiators fought to the death to sate a crowd? In A Fatal Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, Emma Southon examines a trove of real-life homicides from Roman history to explore Roman culture, including how perpetrator, victim, and the act itself were regarded by ordinary people. Inside ancient Rome’s darkly fascinating history, we see how the Romans viewed life and death and what it means to be human.

Historia
In this posthumous memoir, Joanie Holzer Schirm elegantly recreates her father's youthful voice as he comes of age as a Jew in interwar Prague, escapes from a Nazi-held army unit, practices medicine in China's war-ravaged interior, and settles in the United States to start a family. Introducing us to a diverse cast of characters ranging from the humorous to the menacing, Holzer's life story is an inspirational account of survival during wartime, a cinematic epic spanning multiple continents, and ultimately a tale with a twist-a book that will move listeners for generations to come.

Historia
At one time, Corrie ten Boom would have laughed at the idea that she had a story to tell. For the first 50 years of her life, nothing out of the ordinary ever happened to her. She was a spinster watchmaker living contentedly with her sister and their elderly father in the tiny house over their shop in Haarlem. Their uneventful days, as regulated as their own watches, revolved around their abiding love for one another. But with the Nazi invasion and occupation of Holland, everything changed....

I have the utmost respect for this true story. It was just a bit religious for my taste. It started off slow but I understand the reason was to paint a picture of the family.

Historia
From day one, the truth behind JFK's assassination has been mired in controversy and dispute. The Warren Commission, established just seven days after Kennedy's death, delved into the who, what, when, and where of the tragedy, and over the course of the following year compiled an 889-page report that arrived at the now widely contested conclusion: Lee Harvey Oswald was the sole assassin. In Who Really Killed Kennedy?, Jerome R. Corsi, Ph.D., provides listeners with the ultimate JFK assassination theory book.

Read about the author before you listen to this book.
Revisado: 08-17-21
The author has been convicted of lying to Congress as recent as 2019. Nuff said. I barely scratched the surface of this book and it has me going “what the hell is he talking about” well after I did some research on the author I realize he cannot be trusted. Conspiracy theories are one thing and I enjoy them. Being a blatant, convicted liar is totally different.
