The twist to the story.
Revisado: 01-26-25
I enjoyed the plot in the way it proceeded through the story, however there were some areas where it mentioned certain scenes and it seem to end there without any real explanation. I enjoyed how Taye Diggs read the story. I do recommend the book

Revisado: 05-25-24
what stood out for me the most is the fact that he wrote about what my belief systems are and that is the whole you, the Mind Body and Soul! the book was written well and read well by bringing together how all of this is connected and how it all ties in from the foods that we eat.

Historia
In this groundbreaking history of the modern American metropolis, Richard Rothstein explodes the myth that America's cities came to be racially divided through de facto segregation - that is, through individual prejudices, income differences, or the actions of private institutions like banks and real estate agencies. Rather, he incontrovertibly makes clear that it was de jure segregation - the laws and policy decisions passed by local, state, and federal governments - that actually promoted the discriminatory patterns that continue to this day.

I thoroughly enjoyed the book. The author has such good explanations for why we do or don't do things.. He also brings in a great sense of humor when speaking to us and I love the exercises as he had the audience too. They were fun and informative. I highly recommend this book you'd be surprised as to what his solutions are as to why we don't do what we say we're gonna do.

Struggled to Finish
Revisado: 05-26-22
I didn't like the way the story flowed. It started out revealing part of the end of the stoty. Too much time spent on the individual characters and not really getting to the root of the story. I gave it 3 only because of the effort that was given in creating the stoty, and maybe partly because I just couldn't stay focused. I gave it the benefit of the doubt. I don't recommend the book.

Great Speeches by African American Women!
Revisado: 03-19-22
I really enjoyed hearing from all of the prominent black women from the past. Their speeches are still inspiring today. The narrator though miss pronounced some of their names but maybe that's the way they would say it from where they're from. I recommend this book because one can learn about their past struggles and successes!

Great Book - I Learned a Lot
Revisado: 03-10-22
I thoroughly enjoyed this book although it took me a while to read it. That's because of my busy schedule with not having enough time in the day. I thoroughly enjoyed hearing from the President's point of view the things that he went through to improve our country on various levels, instead of just looking at it from our narrow view from the outside. I enjoyed hearing from president Obama, his thoughts and feelings when going after the enemies of our country! I recommend that everyone reads this!
