My least favorite so far

I’ve really enjoyed 1-14. I thought this story was a bit weak, and for sure a bit rushed at the end. Without spoilers, hard to explain specifics.

Hmmmm…I’m a big fan. But this one seemed like a bunch of unrelated stories weaved together. And a rushed ending.

The narration was excellent. I’ve listened to several by the narrator and always enjoy him.

The story was good. I won’t give away too much. But will say it was a bit convoluted.

I enjoy these stories. Coherent. Interesting. Maybe a little rushed? Meaning some elements come together a bit quickly. Still good.

I like being transported to, and spending some time in, the English countryside. I suppose some detail is missing. But an enjoyable trip nonetheless. The team is most of the fun-meaning Tom, Helen, and Ian. Difficult to criticize without mentioning specifics-so I will just say that there was one unbelievable coincidence which made the whole story a bit less satisfying. Still fun.

Quite enjoyable. As a fan of Sherlock, 007, many others, and an Anglophile, I really liked it. I also am a fan of another series of books, recently… never mind. I will just say that the denouement was familiar, but still satisfying.

I am a big fan of the Crime Junkie podcast. I have listened to them all. I thought this was a very interesting, and good book. It is difficult to voice any constructive criticism, without mentioning specific parts of the plot/spoilers. So I will have to leave it at that.

Yes, pretty good book. I love all of Barry’s books, if you are, likewise, a fan, you will enjoy this one. I have bought, and read them all. About The Chaos Kind, hmmm…Dox is excellent. Eisler does a great job of making him very funny. All the other characters involved. Very good. It was good to find an Eisler book that was very much current history. I guess I felt the book was a bit rushed. There are a couple leaps in the story, oh if X is not the answer, the answer must be Y. Let’s all converge on Y and get this book finished. It is hard to criticize without some spoilers. So I will just leave it at that.
I would suggest if you like Eisler, you will like Tom Clancy, Dalton Fury, CJ Box, Brad Thor.
I think I am used to Tom Clancy. His books go to 30-50 hours. A lot of tangents taken, but hey, an interesting story is good to listen to, I find I enjoy longer books.
The audio performance here is excellent.
