Too much internal dialog and indecisive characters

A lot of time wasted on internal dialog during what should be a fast paced fight. Predictable events being drawn out longer than they need to be. Characters just hesitate to the detriment of their friends/family.

Annoying Drama and Dumb Decisions

A quick enjoyable story.

Quick listen, was up till 4 in the morning finishing it then bought the 2nd book.
Narration was good, I love duo narrators though it irked me that Marcus narrating the scenes between women except for when they spoke out loud to each other.
The story overall was typical for the genre but I really felt myself getting attached to the characters.
SPOILER.
It seems like Rafiq never got in trouble for the sword even though he was flaunting.

I was expecting this to be the usual harem with OP main character but I was pleasantly surprised. the main character is flawed and everything doesn't always go his way. there are female characters that are NOT there to be in his bed. Some nice surprises in the story that I didn't expect.

Better than I expected

I went into this expecting the usual OP MC with harem which j got however I feel like the characters are not 1 dimensional. the MC makes mistakes and learn from them. he needs to rely on his women to survive. I appreciated that the main women were pulling their own weight by the end of the book.
