Historia
Born and raised in a small Oregon town, all-American girl Rebecca Bender was a varsity athlete and honor-roll student with a promising future. Then a predator pretending to be her boyfriend lured her into a web of lies that sent her down a path she never imagined possible. For nearly six years, Rebecca was sold across the underground world of sex trafficking in Las Vegas. She was branded, beaten, told when to sleep and what to wear, and traded between traffickers. During that time, God began revealing himself to her.

MUST READ!
Revisado: 02-13-20
I have recently felt my heart called to human trafficking. But it was overwhelming. Where do I start? How could I help? What do I need to learn? I don't even know what I don't know! This book was a perfect way to enlighten my perspective and set me on a path of becoming my own version of a modern day abolitionist. I have since read "Renting Lacy" and watched to film, Nefarious. My eyes are not only open now but my perspective is changed. Thank you Rebecca for writing such an important book and sharing your story in such a powerful and impactful way. You also demonstrated the miraculous power and pursuit of God for his children. That was unique and for me life changing dynamic to your story as well.

A must read for those who suffer and fight for FAITH
Revisado: 09-08-18
I want to shout from the rooftops about what a gift this book is to the community of faith and beyond. I am a pediatric oncology nurse and have a good friend whose daughter, Allistaire, passed away at age 6. Allistaire was my friend too. Kate is incredibly honest about grief. She does not brush over it but vulnerably shares the process of her heart. But she doesn’t stop there. She reaches beyond the pain to the one who meets her in the pain, Jesus. She puts words to faith in Him that is nothing short of miraculous.
The reading of the book starts out choppy but it begins to flow very quickly. Thank you Kate Rudd for reading it.
