Eye opening book. This can happen here. I see similarities all the time. We sail along blindly.

During a routine survey mission on an uncolonized planet, Kira finds an alien relic. At first she's delighted, but elation turns to terror when the ancient dust around her begins to move. Great SF
Revisado: 02-21-24
When a book is well written, I like it also to be long, so I can stay in its world. This is great in both respects. And Jennifer Hale’s voice character range is amazing. This book is a step in a new direction for both the author and reader, and they’re both wearing 100-league boots. Do yourself a favor and listen to the conversation at the end, first.

Historia
Who changed the sex of God? This groundbreaking book proposes that the rise of alphabetic literacy reconfigured the human brain and brought about profound changes in history, religion, and gender relations. Making remarkable connections across brain function, myth, and anthropology, Dr. Shlain shows why pre-literate cultures were principally informed by holistic, right-brain modes that venerated the Goddess, images, and feminine values.

Shaky thinking
Revisado: 06-23-22
The author rambles about brain science and tries to lull you into believing what he does without proof. It's like being dealt a series of cards from a deck, when he tosses out a four of stars and goes on with other familiar facts. He's building a case on throwing in a bunch of confirmation bias beliefs presented as facts. Not convincing at all.
