What would have made The Energy Bus better?

I'm only listening to this because this is my book club's pick. I have no idea why. I'm trying so hard to finish listening to it for the book club review. It's boring. Nothing new at all. Nothing profound. Stupid story to make his point come across. I think it might be better without the bus story and all the stereotypical characters. There's no way to save this book because the material is old and many has written on it.

What could Jon Gordon have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

Another narrator who can present the material better.

What was most disappointing about Michael A. Singer’s story?

I love Michael Singer's The Unteetered Soul and was really forward to listening to his new book. However, I would think that if he narrates his own book it would be better since he should be passionate about the material, but he's not. At least it doesn't come off like he is. I was bored to tears and couldn't stand to listen to it anymore. The story doesn't pull me in either.

Would you be willing to try another one of Michael A. Singer’s performances?

No. I would read his book instead.

A great reminder but nothing new

What made the experience of listening to Men, Women and Worthiness the most enjoyable?

It's always great to listen to Brene Brown. She is very real and true to her message.

Brene Brown obviously

What about Brené Brown’s performance did you like?

She is a great story-teller.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I was kind of disappointed that it was so short and it was just a repeat of the same story and message I've heard from her before.

If you've heard Brene Brown and have read her other books before, then I don't think you need this because it doesn't really have any new material. However, if you are new to her material, then this is a great "Cliff Notes" version.

Must listen if you are with a narcissist

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes if my friend is dealing with a narcissist. It is written in plain English with lots of relate able examples.

Have you listened to any of Steven Menasche’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I haven't listen to any of Steven Manasche's before. His performance for this book is excellent.

What insight do you think you’ll apply from Help! I’m in Love with a Narcissist?

I am more aware of what Narcissist does and can control my emotions and reactions much better.

I think it's one of the best book on narcissism. I thoroughly enjoy listening to it.

More of an Autobiography than a Playbook

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

I don't need to know all the details of her life and all the people she knows and grew up with. It's a "love playbook" so I expected the message to be more general than just specific to her.

Would you ever listen to anything by La La Anthony and Karen Hunter again?

Probably not. I do like La La, but I was very disappointed in the book.

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Cherise Booth?

I don't know, but I don't like her narrating.

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from The Love Playbook?

Cut all the stories about her aunt, Kim K, or other friends and her son that doesn't add to the "Love Playbook".

It took me a while to finish listening to this. I was hoping to hear something new and insightful but that didn't happen. The title of the book is very misleading. I thought it was a love playbook but it's more of the story of her life. While I now know more about La La, it wasn't my intention in purchasing this book.

I love that it's concise and to the point. It was a quick listen but very impactful.

What did you learn from Manifest Your Millions! that you would use in your daily life?

Envision my desires, learn to receive, don't tell anybody of my plans, and pay attention to how I feel when I say my affirmations.

I love this book. I have listen to it 3 times already. It's a great book on the LOA and everyone should read it.

What about Peter Berkrot’s performance did you like?

His tone and his whole involvement in the material. I thought the author was reading it. His voice was soothing and entertaining at the same time. I'd like to listen to other books he narrated.

I love love this book. Amazing. I've read a lot of self-help books, but this one was delivered in such an easy way to understand. It MAKES SENSE. I've already ask myself "Who am I? Who is the one who is bothered?" It helps you to take a step back and be more aware of your incessant thoughts.

A great reminder but terrible narration

Would you consider the audio edition of The Game of Life and How to Play It to be better than the print version?

No, the narrator was just reading. There was no emotion behind the voice. Her voice was rather unpleasant to listen to too. I'm glad it was a short one.

What did you like best about this story?

I like that there were some new ideas I haven't consider.

How did the narrator detract from the book?

A lot. I didn't really want to finish. I endured to the end because I do like the content.

What did you learn from The Game of Life and How to Play It that you would use in your daily life?

Ask for Divine Spirit to give me a definite lead, then plan for the blessings to occur with my actions.

Buy the book instead of the audio version.
