Erin Mallon has always been a favorite female narrator for me and she solidified that with her role as Melanie! She has the knack for conveying the quick wit a FMC will have and Melanie is very quick witted. Ms. Mallon also has the skill of a good male voice. When I see her listed as a narrator I always know both the FMC and MMC are in good hands.

Marcio Catalano is new to me and I was immediately loving his voice. He delivers Luke exactly as I would have imagined while reading it. He does an amazing job of changing his voice depending on what character is talking and he was great when it came to the female parts. I seriously couldn’t get enough.

Lastly, Robert Hatchet. I have only ever heard him in a more comedic type role. Let me just say that him as a bad guy….I was there for all of it and wanting more of it. I knew it was him but had I not known I would have been looking it up because he does sound slightly different in a good way. Bravo on pulling off the bad guy as well as you did!!!

Remember some years back when we had a strong dislike for Luke Haven because he hit on Fiona and tried to buy a car out from under Evan Bailey? I am here to say we should no longer have a dislike for him…we should LOVE him!

Second chance is a favorite trope and I loved everything about Luke and Melanie finding their way back to each other. From their first encounter that will leave you giggling to him being so fiercely protective of her. He is more calm and collective while she is slightly high energy. They still have a strong connection after being apart for 11 years.
Then there are the tender moments between them and the loving way that Luke reassures her of his love and vice versa. Melanie has a strength to her that Luke respects and he always has her back!

I feel like I always say the same things when it comes to a Claire book but dang it, it’s always true. She has this way of making you feel like you are wrapped up in a flannel of comfort when reading these Haven boys. They are so much more than what we got glimpses of in the Bailey Brothers series. Luke and Melanie’s story is sure to leave everyone with a heart full of love!

This was my first time hearing Sarah Puckett and Michael Norman Johnson and I was hooked on their voices immediately. While there are multiple female and male characters covered by these two Michael seemed to have a bit more tasked to him with the emotional state of these characters. Both of them did exceptionally well with differentiating between all the characters and when it came to the emotional scenes they nailed them. I truly enjoy listening to them.

Rafe and Lulu…..I loved them. From the moment they meet (she punches him in the throat) sparks fly with them. These two are a classic case of “you scratch my back and I will scratch yours”.

Each needs a date to events so they decide to enter into a fake relationship and it isn’t long before everyone but these two can see there is nothing fake about their relationship.

I love the flirty bantering these two do, it truly makes their beginning fun to read. It isn’t long before things escalate between them and no matter how much they try to deny there are feelings…there are feelings.

They are so perfect together. Their families love them together. Then there is Rafe and his extreme protective streak when it comes to her. Absolutely nobody is hurting her emotionally or physically with him around.

I always love going back to a Laura Pavlov book because she balances out the main characters with a good mixture of characters from previous books. They are all this huge fictional family you look forward to seeing.

*******AUDIO REVIEW********

Narrated in duet style by Vanessa Edwin and Sean Masters these two made my work days go by fast. I always enjoy hearing both of them. Vanessa with her “sweet but don’t cross me” tone and then Sean with that deep voice that totally matches the character of Rafe!

My mind was blown away by Caroline Fantozzi and Elliot Matthews. They are both new to me narrators and I absolutely loved them. Both of them are so fitting as Rose and Parker James. Their voices had a very soothing sound to them (and that may have just been the accents) and I found myself not wanting to turn the audio off.

Caroline definitely has that soft spoken/innocent tone that portrayed Rose exquisitely and Elliot, he was great at coming across as cocky and then at other moments having the most loving and tender tone. I cannot wait to listen to these two some more.

My goodness if this wasn’t just the cutest little story. Rose and Parker James are so heartwarming with their story. They have one of the cutest meet-cutes I have ever read/listened to before. Their text messages back and forth in the beginning are great and they just get better from there.

Watching these two build a foundation for friendship first and then a relationship was very refreshing. Rose is kind of innocent and inexperienced and Parker James is one smooth fella but he has complete respect for her and even though his family life is in somewhat of an upheaval he still manages to want to do good by Rose and treat her like a queen. When the little plot twist/misunderstanding happened I am pretty sure my jaw hit the floor because I couldn't believe what was happening and I was so upset for both Rose and Parker James.

This is one of the cleanest romances I have listened to in a long time and I didn't even notice half the time that the spicy stuff was not there because the story is so dang good. Linzvonc proves that a story can consume the reader/listener with minimal spice because it was the characters of Rose and Parker James that consumed me with all their cuteness and little to no spice.

When I saw that Lucy Rivers and JF Harding were giving life to Ana and Mikhail the audiobook couldn't release soon enough for me. Both of them perform their hearts out. The Russian accents were perfect. I absolutely loved how JF narrates the parts where Mikhail is cussing in his mind, the way that he would almost whisper them....excellent. When he calls her "pretty girl"!!!! Then there is Lucy and having to be sweet Ana then switch to the snotty Zoya then back to Ana without missing a beat. This entire series has excellent narrators but I have to say these two made Claim my favorite audio for the series.

“Give me your demons. Let me dance in the rain with them.”

The anticipation for Mikhail’s story is finally over and Ms. Mason ended the BTS series in the best possible way. All throughout this series Mikhail has been somewhat of a mystery, but no more.

Mikhail and that heart of his he thinks is bad…nope! That man has a heart of pure love when it comes to those he holds near and dear. If he promises to take care of something or someone he honors that and it eventually leads him to the woman who wins over his heart.

Here is where things get vague! The FMC is a guessing game. I thought I knew who it was going to be and I could not have been more wrong. I swear “what’s her name” was made for Mikhail. I absolutely loved her, she is the kind of FMC that really completes a story. Mikhail is not wrong when he calls her iskorka (spark)!

These two characters absolutely consumed me just like all of Luna’s stories have. They have some extreme heartfelt moments and then there were so many times of just fun. What’s her name truly brings life back to Mikhail.

It is always sad leaving a series but she gives her readers one hell of an ending to the Volkovs. We get characters from the BTM series, a glimpse at her upcoming spin off, and then Enzo and his upcoming story.

June and J.F. deliver pure excellence!

June deBorahae and J.F. Harding quickly became my favorite duet narrating team. The way these two compliment each other is exquisite. Each of them are personal favorites for me but getting to hear them together on this audio left me speechless numerous times. I was prepared to be very critical of whoever gave life to Troy and Jolene because I know their story so well. I was sold on these two on chapter 1, as soon as JF said that first “Jolene”! Both understood the assignment for sure from the slight southern twang, June as Jolene’s daughter, Anna May (I have never heard a better child voice in a narrator), to the more emotional heavy parts. Oh how I wish I could go into detail on those moments because each of them made me feel like I was experiencing these moments right along with them. I cried when I read the book and knowing what was coming I still could not have prepared myself for how June and J.F. were going to portray it and they broke me. It was not hard to get completely lost on this story. I already know this will get listened to over and over again!

This book....oh my goodness this book!!! The love story of Troy and Jolene touched my heart so dang much. There is nothing more romantic than how their story evolved. They met ten years ago and fell in love but Troy is enlisted in the military and tells Jolene not to wait for him and she does anyway. As chance would have it five years later they run into each other again and it is like those five years never passed them by and he does tell her to wait for him before he deploys again. Jo has no problem with that until she receives a letter from him telling her to not wait. She manages to pick up the pieces of her heart and start a new life. In the following five years both of these two endure tragedy so intense that they needed to find each other again even if they hadn't realized it yet.

My heart physically hurt for Troy and the burden he carries...especially when I read the horrible events surrounding what pains him. He is a fierce protector and wants to love Jo and Anna May with all of his heart, and he does, but his head won't allow it because he cannot promise he will come back to them after a deployment. Jolene's life the last five years was so horrible having barely escaped being killed and yet she still has a reason to smile thanks to her daughter, and now Troy. She wants so desperately for him to open up to her because she knows his love for her runs as deep as her for him. She searches deep inside herself when faced with Troy leaving again and comes to the best conclusion she can live with. Troy's stubborn streak almost causes him to lose the only woman he has ever loved.

Evelyn Montgomery completely nailed this story. There is suspense, happiness, joy, pain, and heartbreak and after all of that it wraps up by healing you heart at the beautiful HEA.

I cannot believe I waited so long to listen to this. Will Watt and Stephanie Rose excelled at their performances of all the characters in this book. I am completely blown away by these two. I know Will is a new to me narrator but I believe Stephanie is too. I seriously could not stop listening to this audio. And Will....the number of accents this man had to pull off and he never faltered. The Irish accent for Devlin and then his Russian accent for Constantine....BRAVO!!!! I mean when he calls her "love"....the way he says it just melted my heart every single time. Stephanie is able to portray many emotions in the female characters she narrates for and each character has a distinct sound to them so I never once questioned which female character was talking.

"Don't cry, love. Your tears are enough to kill me." My maddening temptation This is how sinners fall. And I've taken the highest leap down.

Devlin and Eriu may have just become my favorite Lilian Harris couple (and I am a serious Raph fan)! Readers got a first look at these two in Twisted Promises. Even then the tension between them was strong and I was ready for their story. Let me say Lilian goes full force with these two and the tension between them...we get it from the very beginning and it turns into this amazing slow burn.

This man, my goodness how he had my heart hurting because he loves Eriu so much and yet doesn't feel he is good enough for her. I say he is made for her, the only man who can love her the way she deserves. The anguish he feels over this love and guilt from his past felt so intense at times with the way it is written. The nicknames he has for her...they will melt the coldest of hearts.

Eriu knows Devlin loves her, she can see it in his eyes and feel it. She just wants him to admit his feelings and sweep her off her feet. Feeling backed into a corner by her father (again), she all but gives up and sets into motion a chain of events that will change her life from here on out. I swear this poor girl cannot catch a break.

The many, many plot twists in this story had me questioning every single secondary character that came into play. Just when I thought I had it figured out of course I didn't. Ms. Harris definitely took me by surprise a handful of times to say the least. This first book in her Irish mafia series has really set the bar for the rest of it and I KNOW she will excel
with them because that is what she always does.

This was my first time hearing Sarah Puckett and Michael Norman Johnson and I was hooked on their voices immediately. While there are multiple female and male characters covered by these two Michael seemed to have a bit more tasked to him with the emotional state of these characters. Both of them did exceptionally well with differentiating between all the characters.

"He stroked my cheek with his thumb and looked at me in a way no one ever had before, as if his soul was reaching for me."

Well, this turned out to be a whole lot more than I was thinking. Having been on my TBR for quite a long time I finally got to it via audiobook but when I wasn't able to be listening I was devouring it with my eyes.

For me it did start off kind of slow but by chapter 4 or 5 it got going and that may have just been because I was listening at first but once I switched to reading it was game on. Jenna has a bit of innocence to her yet at the same time has a feisty side to her. There were a handful of times she kind of angered me because I felt she was acting childish but that was only in a couple spots. Overall I really did love her character and my heart hurt for her so many times.

Damien, oh boy that man deserves Jenna and all the love she has for him. He deserves to find happiness. His story was a tough one but is the reason he is how he is. His need to protect Jenna from their first meeting makes him all the more likeable. Always looking out for others first and himself last, Jenna kind of puts him in his place and he finally wakes up to see what is right in front of his face.

There were a few times I was questioning side characters and where the plot was going. I started to not trust a couple of them. Then, those couple plot twists thrown out towards the end...one of them I had started to suspect early on once pasts were revealed. I definitely plan to move on to book 2 in the series.

This is my first Lexi Blake book and at first I really felt lost because so many names were being thrown out there in the beginning. After a couple chapters all was better.

I absolutely love Sabrina, Sawyer, and Wyatt. Sawyer and Wyatt are complete opposites from each other except they were both in the MC. Sawyer is the grump, or as he is referred to as...the Grinch, while Wyatt is the golden retriever trying to build a new life for himself. Sawyer wants nothing to do with a long term relationship and Wyatt has wanted Sabrina since his eyes landed on her the first time, but he wants her along with Sawyer.

Sabrina is smitten with both of the men and proves rather quickly she isn't the quiet little school teacher they all think she is. She is tough, mean (as Sawyer calls her...lol), a quick thinker, and doesn't scare easily. She is perfect for Sawyer and Wyatt. Convincing Wyatt wasn't hard but she had her work cut out for her with Sawyer. She loves both of them fiercely and wants to protect them just as much as they want to protect her.

It all starts to get supremely interesting when people from Wyatt's past show up in Bliss.

As for the narration...Kitty Bang is a new to me narrator and I really enjoyed her parts. Lee Samuels did so good when it came to differentiating the pitch of his voice between Sawyer and Wyatt. Same with Kitty...all the female voices were easy to tell apart from Sabrina. There were so many moments that had me chuckling because of not what was said but how the narrators said it. Lee was especially good at getting giggles out of me.

Andi Arndt and Jason Clarke are always amazing together. I have had this on my TBL for quite sometime and had a small time frame between ALCs so I finally listened to this one and I absolutely adored it. I mean what is not to like about a man and woman who both hate Valentine's Day and end up together on that weekend? Throw in Jason and Andi as the narrators and it was a little over 2 hrs of magnificence.
