Historia
It's 1949. When war veteran Aloysius Archer is released from Carderock Prison, he is sent to Poca City on parole with a short list of dos and a much longer list of don'ts: do report regularly to his parole officer, don't go to bars, certainly don't drink alcohol, do get a job - and don't ever associate with loose women. The small town quickly proves more complicated and dangerous than Archer's years serving in the war or his time in jail.

Baldacci at its best, as usual
Revisado: 06-20-24
Very good description of the are and surroundings.
Thriller as Baldacci knows how to do very well.
The story itself was very interesting and built well enough. Until the end there were lots of twists and it was not, at least to me, who is the actual killer. the end twist was marvelous.
I recommend this book.

Fast pace thriller.
Revisado: 01-18-24
This thriller (as in all types of these books) takes you with high volume up to its most latest minutes.
Written good and working on a different angle - bad guys don't always have to be the Arabs although they are connected as well.
The book is written well and narration does a work.
I enjoyed this book until it came the time in which I didn't want to stop listening.

Wow. Great thrilling psychological suspense
Revisado: 09-21-23
It was a long time from when I felt I need to finish a book and can't wait to see the ending.
This psychological suspense is written well and moves the reader (listener) through story timeline in a good manner. Drama and tension are built very good along the book. until almost the end of this book you wonder who will step out as the big winner (although it should be obvious...).
I enjoyed listening to this book and can only recommend listening but feel that it will be good to suggest that after some hours of listening to this book clear several hours as it will be hard to stop listening until the end of the book.

Historia
When Amos Decker is called to South Florida to investigate a double homicide, the case appears straightforward: A federal judge and her bodyguard have been found dead, the judge’s face sporting a blindfold with two eye holes crudely cut out, a clear sign that she’d made one too many enemies over her years on the bench. What at first seems cut and dry is anything but: Not only did the judge have more enemies than Decker can count—from violent gang members, drug dealers, and smugglers to a resentful ex-husband—but the bodyguard presents additional conundrums that muddy the waters even further.

Baldacci as good as always.
Revisado: 02-08-23
Within this party from the series of memory man we discover a new depth to Deckers character.
We also discover a new partner with her goods and bads.
Baldacci build the story to be good thriller with many turnarounds and as always with his books you stay thrilled and with questions until the last minute.
Narrators, yes there are two, complete each other and are working well together.

Historia
The year is 2026. The US military has a new weapon in its arsenal: an intelligent life-form so versatile that it can not only create a new generation of weapons but can become a weapon itself - entering a host’s body to manipulate (or kill) them. Admiral James Curtiss is tasked with deploying the new weapons, first in Cuba, then Venezuela, then China. But the news of the military’s breakthrough has gotten out and there are menacing forces trying to steal it. What’s more, a single man has somehow harnessed the new power and has become something more than human - godlike.

A second book which is preceding the last
Revisado: 02-02-23
This book is the second book, It is much clear from its story line. It continues from the end of the first book but when you finish to read it you understand that it is a link to the path of ending the story (the trilogy) and not really standing by it self.
Characters continue to develop and we also come to know some new characters some of them with great importance for this story.
This book ended with cliffhanger, I hate cliff hanger :).
The story line is interesting and progressing according to expected. The science is interesting and frightening at once, is this the future we are going to have?
I enjoyed this book and the narrator was also doing a good work.

Historia
In the high mountains of Tibet, rumors are spreading. People whisper of an outbreak, of thousands of dead, of bodies pushed into mass graves. It is some strange new disease...a disease, they say, that can kill in minutes. The Chinese government says the rumors aren't true, but no one is allowed in or out of Tibet. At the Pentagon, admiral James Curtiss learns that satellite images prove that a massive genocide is underway. This is no disease. It's a weapons test. Chinese scientists have developed a way to kill based on a person's genetic traits.

Thrilling and fast past sci-fi book
Revisado: 01-26-23
Nanotechnology is not a new idea but in this book it is presented in a logic and also thrilling manor.
Characters are defined, progress of story and of the physics behind its well told.
I was wondering how will the heroes be saved (no spoilers here)...
The soldier also shows character and not only fighting skills.
I enjoyed listening to this book.
The Narrator also did a good job.

Historia
She was covered from head to toe in expensive wool and plaid, the sort of stuff one saw at the Burberry boutique in Harrods. She carried a leather bookbag rather than a nylon backpack. Her patent leather ballet slippers were glossy and bright. She was proper, the new girl, modest. But there was something else about her.... At an exclusive private school in Switzerland, mystery surrounds the identity of the beautiful raven-haired girl who arrives each morning in a motorcade fit for a head of state. She is said to be the daughter of a wealthy international businessman.

The told history was very interesting.
This writer knows how to write inbreeding stories which holds you up to the end. She also leave you with detailed description of what was fantasy and what sad real.
Also, not the first time I hear a book of her and google to see some background or of interest.
Narrator also knows her job well enough...

A massive alien power looms over humanity, claiming Earth as its territory and humanity as its slaves.
