Historia
Jason Bourne takes on a mission to rescue his only friend in the CIA, Martin Lindros, who disappeared in Africa while tracking shipments of yellowcake uranium. Once safely back in America, Lindros persuades Bourne to help track the money trail of terrorists buying the nuclear material in Odessa. But once there, Bourne is hampered by confusing flashbacks, and he wonders: is someone brainwashing him in order to throw him off the trail? Worse, is the man he saved in Africa really Martin Lindros?

This was my last Bourne book
Revisado: 10-18-24
I have listened to a lot of these types of books from different authors. I generally like the first few Bourne books but I stopped listening to this one with about 10 hours left and will never buy another one. The story took a turn that is far beyond believable even for these types of books. I assume it would only annoy me more if I kept listening.
Also, the narrator is good but I do not like the sound effects that randomly surface in the Audible version of the book.

This was pretty good but not for everyone
Revisado: 09-27-24
I initially felt like the author wrote this book purely to make money. My opinion changed some while I was listening to the book but overall this book did not resonate with me as well as I would have liked. It may be because I have read some really good self help books in the past.

This one did not do it for me
Revisado: 05-16-24
I honestly got confused with so many flashbacks to different points in time. And the ending did not seem like a real ending. I compare it to the road to Hana in Maui. It takes a lot of time but you walk away wondering why you invested that much time. I got the same feeling after finishing this book.

A classic of Japanese history, this audiobook is the preeminent work on the history of Japan. Newly revised and updated, A History of Japan is a single-volume complete history of the nation of Japan. Starting in ancient Japan during its early pre-history period, A History of Japan covers every important aspect of history and culture through feudal Japan to the post-Cold War period and collapse of the bubble economy in the early 1990s. Recent findings shed additional light on the origins of Japanese civilization and the birth of Japanese culture.

Historians have long told the story of America’s birth as the triumph of Jefferson’s democratic ideals over the aristocratic intentions of Hamilton. Chernow presents an entirely different man, whose legendary ambitions were motivated not merely by self-interest but by passionate patriotism and a stubborn will to build the foundations of American prosperity and power.

This is my second Patterson book written with other authors. Both of these had good characters and substance until the end. The endings are a little drawn out, not crisp and unrealistic.

5 star book for the most part

I invested a lot of time listening to this book and then toward the end the substance and believability plummeted. The first 85% of tge book was outstanding but I will not be recommending this one to friends.

It could have been really good
Revisado: 05-31-23
This is my second Baldacci book and it may be my last. Most of the book is really good but there were far too many unrealistic events thrown in toward the end. Similar to the first Baldacci book I read, I would have liked it much better if it would have ended earlier.
The narrator was outstanding.
