Enjoyed Kara's fresh perspective. B2B is hard and getting harder. The same new "tools" discussed in Marketing Circles across the globe have inverse "hiding techniques" used by targets across all industries. "In God we trust, all others must bring data..." and Kara is an ardent data person. I agree, but there are still things that seemed to be missed in this wonderfully narrated guide. For instance, what happens if you play only in a red sea and inbound signals are limited? How does one navigate the Opt In rules that dominated messaging on all contentents - some more challenging than others (like GDPR). Nonetheless, Kara's focus on intent data is good stuff. Intent is the Holy Grail of B2B - but separating the signal from the noise is a challenge for large and small firms regardless of industry. Recommend the book, it will give anyone in the B2B space something to consider. Cheers to Kara's final suggestion - let's find a way to synchronize, sales + marketing + customer success for better outcomes.

Fascinating concepts here. LG:s insights were absolutely correct and advice sound. Should be "must reading" for every tech leadership in growth mode.

Fascinating story and well told for most audiences. The author uncovered elements of the SC and the psychology of it's participants that I had not previously considered.

So many topics covered here that I have contemplated for decades. this helped galvanize my thinking. the reference to the PDF was my one negative observation... perhaps it's impossible to avoid, but I consume audio because time is limited and audio+exercise = healthy mind & body. the PDF references make the equation somewhat challenging. Still a solid concept. Well done.

As expected from MG, a good story, exceptionally well told. Thought I was pretty well schooled in WW II details, but this story was all new for me. Thanks for the insights and the thorough work. One last thought, this story was initially planned as an audio book, and the performance and engineering were apparent and added to the experience. For those who enjoying "listening" this is a wonderful production and for those who don't, enjoy this approach, as most audio books lack the "special effects" and original recordings that make this story so special.

If you grew up in the early to mid 1970s and enjoyed the sounds of the Jersey Shore Bands - then this is a great story that is well told. a 180 from my normal audible content - and trilled I found it and listened. thanks for making it available. I don't think I would have gone to see it live, but it was a great alternative.

Not sure where or how I learned about Tony Hughes. It seems he may have simply showed up in my LIn feed - for several weeks in a row. Nevertheless, I found his prospecting strategy to be compelling and probably challenging. And, certainly worth emulating.

The book incorporated the Tom Hopkins theory - "Repitition is the motherhood of learning." Mr. Hughes is consistent and repeats his mantras frequently. Not a negative - but it does become redundant after the third time.

What I would have liked more was depth around LIn Sales Navigator. One of his "must have tools". A "triple" (combo) in under 2 minutes is hard. I know because I tried and timed myself before listening to this book. Nevertheless, the next step for me is to buy the book (Kindle version) and see if I can get more from the written word on a second pass.

If you're in sales, sell complex solutions and are looking for another and probably a better way to achieve your goals, this book is absolutely worth reading.

Ray's self-discipline to note and record his "principles" is remarkable. I enjoyed listening to both narrators. It was difficult for me to grab transferable nuggets over a 16 hour listen period and as I do much of my BOT listening at the gym, taking notes was even more challenging. So I'm not sure how many of the Principles I will be able to leverage or incorporate, but I did enjoy learning about Ray, Bridgewater and the culture they've created there following this playbook. I'm sure some will stick. Perhaps I will buy the book in the future for faster reference. One red flag, Ray talks a bunch about the appendices and "samples" - but BOT listeners don't have access to this data, unfortunately. It didn't impact my ratings - just something that should be addressed.
