Throughout the book, the reader cites other China Bayle’s books interrupting the flow of the story. Very annoying. I have never listened to any other book like this. If I want commercial interruptions I will watch television!!

The protagonist is frustratingly and repeatedly placing herself in ridiculous situations that, of course, end badly for her. Few human beings would be so stupid. Narration is cloying with whiny voices. I had hoped to have found a new mystery series to enjoy. Unfortunately this is NOT the case .

I listened to one and one half books
before the painfully awful narration caused me to stop. Stories were decent, but the narrator ruined them.

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?
Had the story been better. Perhaps Becky Boyd's inept reading caused the story to be worse than it really is.
What was most disappointing about Martha Powers’s story?
Premise
Would you be willing to try another one of Becky Boyd’s performances?
I will NEVER try anything by Becky Boyd again. If the book is appealing, I will buy the book rather than listen to her horrible rendition! I have never written a review before but people should be warned about this narrator.
