Historia
Will to Wild is an instruction manual to adventure. Your guide: enthusiastic outdoorswoman Shelby Stanger. Shelby has been teaching folks how to leap into the unknown since she taught her first surf class over twenty years ago. Over the years, she watched many of her students quit their jobs, end dysfunctional relationships, and move across the country for a healthier work-life balance—all after spending a bit of time in nature. Shelby marveled at the phenomenon. Being outside was changing the lives of her students, her peers, and herself.

I don’t know
Revisado: 11-07-23
This book just didn’t do much for me. Maybe if I was a teen/young adult looking to get out there it would be awesome.
Im thinking about giving it to my niece, but it didn’t do much for me. Bummer.

An epic adventure that is read like a shopping list more than the journey it could have been.
The authors voice was fine, but there is a difference between reading a script and telling an engrossing story, one that this author misses.
Sorry, but It’s hard to listen to such a monotone story for so long.
While what he has done is great and could have been a fun read, I just wasn’t able to connect to him.
He starts this unprepared, does dangerous river crossings, gets lost often, and is pretty cocky, “It’s all about perceptions”.
Not being endearing in a book that’s hard to listen to was just too much.
I really wanted to enjoy this, but it’s not my best…

Historia
Every modern city has one week’s worth of food to feed itself. Then it will collapse. Cut off the resources to New York, Sydney, or even a mid-size metropolis, and millions will soon starve. In Zero Day Code we see those immense and open, hyper-complex, networked supercities of the new millennium die. And in the last moments we see their vengeance take form as all the best and worst traits of humanity bubble to the surface.

When the real apocalypse happens..

I’ll be glad I read this book.. ;)
It was a little difficult to remember all the parallel groups and characters at times, you really have to concentrate on where you are and who you are with as there is lots of back and forth between the groups.
But once I had that figured out, I really enjoyed the story is full and exciting, the characters are well built, so I have the movie of it in my head as it’s being read to me. The voices help make each character distinguished. Like the narrator. I’ve really enjoyed this series.

Historia
Anna was never anything like those "real" runners on telly, but when she read about New Zealand’s 3,000-kilometer-long Te Araroa Trail, she began to wonder...perhaps being a "real" runner was overrated. Maybe she could just run it anyway? The Pants of Perspective is a witty, colorful, and at times painfully raw account of a journey to the edge of what a woman believes herself to be capable of. It is a coming-of-age story that will lead you on a roller-coaster ride through fear, vulnerability, courage, and failure.

Awesome, off to read her others now..
Revisado: 06-27-21
This book was great. Anna has such positivity (without being annoying) and adventurous spirit. I read this while dragging my unwilling body around trails near my home, trying to get fit for life and my own future adventures. Her reading and storytelling makes you feel like she’s your friend relaying their travels to you over the phone. She brings you up with her, you have a giggle, relate to her struggles, and she inspires you to slog on, no matter where you are.. Anna makes you want to start your own adventures right now!!
