I adore Rachel’s work and this one was full of all the exciting battles, dialogue and twists and turns I love in a story.

The narrator did an amazing job!

I love Aaron’s work and have been a fan for a decade! This is a new world with new rules and as usual, I am blown away with the creativity, imaginative writing and awesome characters.

She is why I read books - I am excited for the next title.

I always find Rachel’s storytelling to be creative and thought provoking. Her endings are always unexpected but happy for all players on the board.

I look forward to the next DFZ installment if there is one.

I am a HUGE fan of Rachels. She weaves an amazing story and I have never been disappointed by her work. While this one isn't my favorite novel of hers, or my favorite DFZ instalment, I still found it to be fantastic. Its very unique and I can never predict whats going to happen.

I like what she has done with the fairies and how they interact with her magic system and the fit pretty seamlessly into this world and its rules. The main message rang loud and clear - you have control over who you are at all times.

Not gonna lie, the subject matter here is very off the cuff, I struggled trying to get into the romance between Signal and Eric.

Lily isnt shy about being honest about the emotional manipulation and that Eric is an anti-hero/ psychopath with intense feelings and that Signal is...too innocent for it and its a bit uncomfortable for me since I have been in emotionally abusive relationships and its triggering in a lot of ways.

That said, I think the concept of class A and a teen killers club is pretty cool and easy to grasp. However, Lily makes all of the characters way more interesting than Signal and we barley get any of their back story. Signal is also hard to stomach at times for how naive and ignorant she is considering the situation she is in. I also think the fact that she is this Mary Sue, squeaky clean compass of morality is kind of insulting to people with personality disorders.

I think this could be done better if it wasnt geared toward YA/YR

Michael Miller and Petter Kenny made me forget how boring and lame life is for 26 hours...this book has so much spiritual growth and focus that really helped me put a few things in my own life in perspective.

This is why I love reading so much. I loved how much Holt, Talia, and Rake grew in this book despite the set backs and it really raised the stakes. I even enjoyed the Ozrik chapters! I am really looking forward to the next installment, whenever that is.

I have always been a huge fan of Rachel’s work and the DFZ novels have already been one of my favorite series of all time. I can almost never predict her plots and the magic system is so comprehensive. I can’t wait to hear more.

I am so glad this book came out when it did, I was in a major reading slump and exhausted by all the FAE romances being pumped out. I cant say the summary of the book really did it justice.

I was skeptical by the early reviews at first because many were claiming it was another rip off of Sarah J and many other popular fantasy romances out there because of the tropes they already highlighted, I could understand where some readers got the wrong impression within the first 5 chapters...Zayden is pretty much a carbon copy of Rhys and the attraction Violet feels its instant and cringe most of the time...but that is all forgivable because everything else about this story is AMAZING.

Finally and academy book where they actually train, grow, and learn things!!

World building - 100
Magic system - 99
Characters - 100
Spicy romance - 100
Pacing and action - 500

I loved it and am so happy I read it!!

**Rebecca Soler was sick the first half of the book and it drove me crazy in the audio. The editors tried their best to blur it out but I have listened to a lot of her work and it was very obvious. Sorry RB media taking a star. Don't make your narrators work sick!**

I wasn't sure what the Erin's had intended to do with this arc in the first book but I was intrigued. The second book didn't answer any questions and, in my opinion, didn't go anywhere but the situation in Riverclan was still unexplored and something sort of new for the series so I was still interested.

This book....this book....was not good. I wouldn't say the writing was bad...I even like the idea of the conflict staying within the clans and not bringing in outside cats or having some random enemy who wants to break everything up. However, its the third book in the arc and it still, didn't really go anywhere. In fact, I think it took 1 paw step forward and 3 paw steps back.

I think the Erin's where trying to portray the doubts we all have about our place in the world, second guessing our decisions and making mistakes, life can be messy and confusing so I understand the idea behind having the main trio switch roles. I just think it could have been done better. I honestly don't feel like anyone learned anything and the constant second guessing and switching sides was just confusing and made me dizzy. I didn't even have time to understand the characters new roles before they switched back to what they were doing before.

These books aren't long enough for this sort of plot design and not enough is being done to the overall plot to keep me invested. I liked the previous arc better...bring back the zombies.

MacLeod Andrews is amazing as always and I will keep listening just for him.

I'm not YR but I really like the story and premise of this book. Its progressing quickly and I would like to have some more scenes with the mentors actually teaching their students vs just checking up on them. I don't really buy the character developments because so much of it is off screen.

They add a lot of new characters in each book and I forget them as soon as the chapter ends.
