Even though it's a Virtual Voice title, the narrator is very realistic and a perfect match for the story. Much better story than the previous title in the series. HOT!

Audio volume varies constantly. Get a quality microphone and stop moving your head for Christ's sake. Pretty much ruins the experience unfortunately.

Exceptionally great storytelling and keeps things interesting throughout. Very entertaining, lots of action and I'm only a quarter way in. Dark Angels, for the Empororer! For The Lion!

I've bought over 500 books and never listened to one without the chapters indexed. Its really inconvenient not to have the chapters indexed. Someone please take the time to index this book for those of us that listen a chapter at a time.

Author is "perv" in the featured review, really?

I wonder how many sales of this excellent book were lost because the featured review states the author is a nothing but a "major perv" who is obsessed with "little girls". How can such an absurd and slanderous comment be the featured review of this great series? How counter productive to sales and unfair to the author it is to feature such a derogatory and malicious statement on the book's main title page! A balanced and reasonable review shown on the main page is definitely in order here. This is such an excellent and epic doomsday series it deserves much better than that!

NOT exaggerated or overblown at all

First off, I could do without all the patriotic flag waving and I don't care what Newt Gingrich has to say about anything but the events and repercussions of an EMP or a direct hit by a large coronal mass ejection from the sun on the infrastructure of the US described in this story are NOT exaggerated or overblown at all. Just look up how the Carrington event in the 1800s made telegraph lines catch on fire. In fact, it would be much worse than what is described here. What this story leaves out is the effects of every functioning nuclear power plant melting down due to lack of power to cool the reactor cores. Those who believe we could use American ingenuity and perseverance to somehow make it through are embarrassingly naive and uninformed. The lack of any action by those who have a duty to protect us from a disaster like this is a criminal negligence. For the price of a few stealth bombers this nations electic grid, transformers and infrastructure could be hardened to prevent the devastating effects of an EMP, but this has not occurred. It's a national disgrace that the US has not addressed this threat and makes any patriotic overtures fall flat.

I'm only 1 hr 45 mins into this and ...

its already in my top 20 most enjoyable titles out of 500+. RC Bray brings it all so convincingly to life, its like being able to watch a movie with your eyes closed. Same universe but not a continuation of the previous story.

the shouting, yelling and screaming are ridiculous

If you like to listen to a bunch of reverb saturated shouting, yelling and screaming nonsense along with dramatic music and sound effects then this is for you. The prose titles in this series performed by Johnathan Keeble are fantastic without all the overdone sillyness found in these dramas. After awhile the shouting and screaming just gets too annoying to continue.

What's better than that? Story was engaging at first but lost my attention after I got stoned. Very entertaining never the less.
