Excellent addition to Sol's saga. I felt this story had a great sub theme, that no matter how you are created, you always have the choice to do what is right. Sometimes that "right" may come with a hefty price, but you still have the choice to choose.
Absolutely loved it.
For the record, I'm still choosing freedom!

hello, long time listener, first time caller. I love all of his previous stories, but indeed it does appear soapboxy from his interjection of politics into this one. I was even more unnerved due to the author creating Captain T
rips as one of his brain children, and still giving this type of political brow meeting.

I'm not crying, you are crying. Other than the emotional abuse suffered upon us by this magnificent author and delivered to us by an equally magnificent narrator, the story has so many twists and turns that your body is unapologetically captured into the story. Absolutely loved it! Andrew Frost's character development is awe-inspiring.

I'm truly at a loss for words... my emotions were thrown around with such wild abandon, I had to listen to the entire book twice. Amazing performance as usual from Like, but Hunter knocked this story out of the park. I'll definitely be back for more abuse when book ten is released.

I don't know how he does it, but Justin keeps drenching each new story with more and more adrenaline. Max's rollercoaster of events are truly gripping all the way to the very end. I was cheering, laughing and even shed a tear. Bravo.

Perfectly calculated addition to Max's story. I love the way some of the problems are resolved while maintaining an overall sense of foreboding as the story continues. Frank and Petro are my absolute favorite characters. I am already hungry for the next one.
